  1. Hi,

The request for the Caledonian permission is in, but I'm afraid, these things take time, if they happen at all.

So basically popular or not, if you can't get permission you aren't just go ahead and do it anyway, as this puts you in a whole world of problems.

Having had to deal with Stobart in a previous job, it was difficult to get an agreement, however, I'd welcome their involvement.

    Cheers

    Dave

Hornbys class 67 is available in the Caledonian Sleeper livery so the permissions have presumably been granted in the past.

Come to think of it, I seem to recall that Hornby did a Stobart liveried class 37 in the dim and distant past.

    Just a thought.....

  2. A very interesting thread here,

If you could run us through the Dubdee again again that would be lovely.for all those of who did'nt see the published article.

A step by step would be nice. list of colours used etc.

For my mind and in my humble opinion .Your thread on here does recieve a lot of praise but  completely lacks any actual constructive criticism.

Since we are all on a learning curve it might nice to show some balance.

Look forward to the step by step..

    regards,

  3. Thanks Rob.

I have to say, the windows look very good in the photo although I suspect if you can get some etches, that would look even better. I'd recommend e-mailing PRMRP to see if they can help you also. I don't think they do their own etching, but a call never hurt anyone.

Another idea would be the guys who do precision paints. They do them in N and OO gauge, but not O as yet. Enough demand might change that? Just a couple of ideas to throw into the mix in case anyone else is contemplating a conversion.

    Cheers.

    Sean.

    Fine and quality work sir.

Precision Paints are very lovely in N,OO and indeed O.Now having taken that completely out of context  I will bow out with a quote from the Fast show.

    "Nice" ...................( the polite version)

Keep up the excellent work on the baffling world of coaching stock and ist many variations.O gauge is defiantly the way to go.

    Best wishes

    And
