  1. Yes, I have seen one or two knocking about with the logos painted over (including one last night in a container stack) but to see them still fully branded is becoming a rarer sight.
  2. Just wondering when the last time someone saw a Hanjin box? I only ask as up until 2 years ago when they went bust they were commonplace- Hornby even used one on their KFAs, but now very rarely seen. For the first time in a while I happened to see a couple yesterday still loitering on the dock.

Taken from the German advance on Stalingrad. You can see where the hammer strikes the shell casing.

I gave him my baby to kiss and he bit it in the head.

  5. Way ahead of you mate, mine received the 'treatment' 3 years ago. With the added bonus that a) It cost far less than this model. And b) mine has no NSE flashes, as that's how I saw it. That said, it's one of the best 'off the shelf' paint jobs I've seen in 00. It seems the larger retailers have a knack of picking subjects that I already have of late!

    EBay madness

Do you mean this one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152406558757?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It seems a mind blowing price to me. And to think, I had two of them- who knew I was sitting on a small fortune... One was weathered and the other became Kings Lynn (with more attention paid to details such as the prototypes lettering/numbering location than this blokes straight body swap and it's 'Cockney Robin'...) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292007234418?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  7. Taken from an anglia-gen e-mail I received earlier this evening, I presume it was this pair you saw mate- I believe it was due to run as 1Q90 on Tuesday. 1Q97 37057 and 37254 Wed Dec 7, 2016 10:47 am (PST) . 8. Agreed, I also preferred the 37s in large logo over plain blue. We had a few large logo 37s down here- a quick look at my 1989 Platform 5 combined volume states that the following machines were SF based. 37004/012/057/116/128/209/216 as well as 358 without yellow cab sides.
  9. As I was heading to Norwich today to catch a ride on the short sets (top and tail 37/4 to Great Yarmouth and top and tail 68s to Lowestoft today for those who don't know) I tried to take a picture of said GUV to post up on here. Unfortunately, some inconsiderate decided to park two rakes of intermodal freight directly in line of sight... Nice to see it still there though.
  10. Might I express my indignation upon seeing that the class 312 gained more votes than the class 309. (160 votes verses 145) And my complete incredulity as seeing that the 'misery box' that replaced both of the above, the class 321, managed to gain 159 votes. One questions if those who voted were all born post 1990 and therefore too young to remember to former. This all smacks of a left wing conspiracy to deny my plastic layout passengers a level of comfortable travel whilst they travel around in circles. I shall, therefore, be writing to the Daily Mail forthwith to express my concern on this matter, which I find to be wholly unacceptable. Yours, outraged from Essex. Ps. Thanks to the team for their efforts in carrying out the survey.

Yes, Samantha has really taken to walking holidays. She's bagged three Munros, two Rosses and a delighted McTavish.

  13. That's another Bachmann Duff to add to the fleet.

  14. That's troubling to see, especially as it's your 3rd one Neil. Seeing that, (and this isn't tongue in cheek) I'm glad I'm sticking to DC and don't have to contend with those issues. Hopefully Bachmann can sort you out with a PCB that doesn't throw a hissy fit when given a chip that it was intended to receive...
  15. We were in Norwich on the 20th-22nd of this month. The short set was running with 37405/419. I too saw a 68 loitering, it was 68017 Hornet.
