  1. Good to see the 25's coming along Rob, sorry I thought I'd put some centre lamp irons in with the cabs.

Got another delivery from Shapeways on Friday.  This was placed at Christmas when Shapeways had 20 off WSF, sadly A couple one wagon chassis was damaged and part of the 7mm BBA went missing but as usual shapeways customer service is sorting it.

One of the items was a class 37 bogie and a separate inner chassis.  Picture below shows it under the 37 fitted with an odd collection of wheels I had to hand.  It looks OK and will need separate cab steps adding, there is also a clearance issue between the wheels and the end frame but then version one normally requires some work.  Also printed was a bogie mount that fits to the bottom of the door frame and also helps to position the cab interior.

As well as the tumble dryer, my wife wants a small freezer!

3 small narrow gauge layouts rich. . .you got any pics. . .

  3. An update on Orchard Road

I've decided to not sell the layout, certainly for the foreseeable future.

I've a few bookings, as below.

  7. Hi Terry latest pics look good, though class 37/4s didn't have split boxes. If you change the number the nose grilles will be wrong, sorry.

This may not bother you as its your layout but thought you might like to know.

    Cheers Peter.

  8. wow its been so long but looking good the idea of uncoupling with the staples is a good idea i manage to show my layout a few months ago and have booking now for next year and people just look bewildered when i can just pull up shunt back and forth and just drive off. i do like the all look of the layout.  ..keep up the great work

    cheers ian

  9. so will the 13.4 max output kill them or do LEDs have a bit of electrical 'leeway'

the led strips i use for the points indicators are 12v running off the DCC track voltage and i've not had problems with those

hi jim you might see that the leds for your points will flicker very fast as the power from track power it dirty power like the ohel led,s use drivers / transformers because it is a cleaner power. . a lap top transformer are good also as they have things in them to clean up the power . .  well i hope im right anyway goin of what ive been told

    cheers ian

  10. Great updates there Terry I see you have been a busy bee on the layout and seem to have found your way again. That is always good for your followers including myself. It will be good to see some trains running the full loop on Glebe rd

    Cheers Ian
