  1. Thanks for the update. I hope your father feels better soon. It’s very good of you to keep the models going - never an easy job trying to figure out what a parent has done with all their bits and pieces!

  2. Many happy returns Arthur. So nice to see you still going strong - a testament to the power of trains!

I am looking forward to getting my new workshop built over the Xmas period when I can finally unpack and start to build some of your wonderful kits.

  3. Arthur - sorry to hear that you’ve been unwell. Alas it seems to be an increasingly common theme amongst some of the stalwarts of our hobby. Glad you are on the mend and I am sure I speak for everyone when I say take it easy and make sure you recover properly. We will wait for you. I personally am really looking forward to the D20s coming in the New Year when you are ready.

Have a wonderful Xmas and New Year

  4. Just had a sad call from Dave’s sister. He is very unwell and has been back to hospital for hip replacement on top of the Big C.

She tells me that he is giving up the business , which is a great shame but fully understandable.

I hope someone with the right skills decides to acquire his business and keeps producing his wonderful kits. I have a J21 and several Tyne Dock wagons to build and will think of him as I make them.

Digital photos can be cruel sometimes. When you zoom in close and spot things you missed. I know from bitter experience.

Thankfully when I zoom in on yours the details just keep on coming. The subtle effects, the blending of techniques, the overall feel of the weathering.

You are truly an artist. Stunning work as always

Great to see you are fully up and running and producing more stunning work.

My G5 and a few Pacific’s are still waiting to get sent up to you - RL is such a hard task master and finding the time to sort things out between getting children through university, GCSEs and 11+ exams is tough. Apologies - I know you have been promised them several times. My garratt is still the envy of all my friends!

    Take care

    Andrew
