  1. Personally I would not use screws but glue them with no nails instead
  2. By the look of it when they listed them all they entered cost price by mistake shame they spotted the error.
  3. Clearly nobody commenting here has owned one and had the joy of using one properly they are a marvel and highly addictive. The thread is about live steam and not batteries!! If you want to discuss other things then please start an appropriate thread. I am assuming the OP is referring to Hornby OO live steam and the reason it didn;t catch on at the time was because it was a lot of money at the time to outlay and needed a dedicated track/control system. It now has a dedicated following and many locomotives commanding a far higher price than originally sold for. For more info please visit this website https://www.oolivesteam.com/
  4. How about these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/C8724-24-PCS-36-Metal-Wheels-for-Model-Train-1-87-HO-Scale-DC-Wheel-set-New/311862974740 There are other options if you search their shop. Dave
  5. If you intend to turn it into a proper room there are allsorts of building regs to adhere to but if you are only going to access it by a loft ladder and don't want to go mad and change joists etc board it out and srew the boards down every 6 inches you will be surprised how solid that will make it. Dave
  6. Always found the service great as well.
  7. Have a look here http://www.phd-design-etchings.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=25_28_63 Dave
  8. Best to do online, I don't think you will get much sense on the phone. Dave
  9. Hornby themselves are usually the cheapest as long as they have them in stock. Dave
  10. Hi Mark the jumper is the same as the ones between power car & trailer cars it is there so the sets can be put on shore supply whilst in the depot. Yes the buffers are there all the time behind the skirts and they are solid not sprung. Dave
