  2. I would guess its all COVID related, when there were many months when publication was impossible. Rather than ditch the surplus stock they have included them with Model Rail, either at a lower price or free. Good for the magazine

Take a look at this Ebay image :- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hesketh-Park-Railway-Station-Photo-Southport-Churchtown-L-YR-1/263940188485?hash=item3d740fa945:g:IWYAAOSw7bpbngSE Was it some form of insulation trials? ( NOTE not my image ) Having now trawled thru Google for 44756 it seems to have been like that for some years - take a look at https://railphotoprints.uk/p883082520/hF3D06DC#hf3d06dc

Shortages?... Popped into the Aldi fracas today and found the assisstant picking over someones trolley at the checkout, saying you cant have these , you cant have those.. Baked Beans limited to 4 tins or 1 pack of 4 Heinz beans, Baby wipes limited to 4 smallish packs, soups rationed to a couple tins - 4 if its 4 different flavours. Walking around the store observing the near riot taking place in all , yes all, aisles. I wouldnt mind but I asked the assisstant if there was any restrictions in the next 4 weeks and as long as they can get the stuff on the shelves- theres no shortages..

  15. Just quietly perusing this thread and it jogged my memory. There was a radio program favourite of mine - a science fiction program , once a week, on what was the equivalent of radio 4 today, with a sound effects bonanza from the BBC radiophonic workshops. I have never been able to remember the name of the prog, but always thought it was " A for Andromeda", but it doesnt fit todays Google searches, anyone else remember that prog in about 1957-1962, when I was using a crystal set- you havent lived till you have tried wiring the bedsprings to a few electronioc components.! Book at Bedtime --- Ahhhhhh
