I ended up repainting one as I wanted different disc codes at each end - annoying but fixable 🙄 As regards replacement buffers I’ve used Hornby Class 50 buffers on all my 40’s, however they seem to be unavailable at the moment, so I’m trying some Class 31 buffers for size!
-
Received mine and yes buffers will be replaced (as I’ve done on all my Bachmann Class 40’s) but more annoying is the fact on mine they’ve only included half discs for one side of the small yellow panel/green section - well on mine anyways 🤬

Any more news on the soundchips yet? - I know they were stuck in customs a month ago but still not heard anything 😞 -
Class 92, By Accurascale
Cradley Bridge replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
My first one arrived today. Beautiful model and a nice weight means it’ll haul just about anything. I did have to glue a few of the etched bits back in place - but that was super easy. Managed to get the body off after looking at a few posts on here. Whilst it was off I fitted the window blinds at both ends and an adapted Modelu driver at the front. I also painted in the sides of the PCB so now you can’t see them thru the grilles. Looking forward to the next few arriving before the weathering starts 👍🏻 -
I managed to buy 2 of the original versions when they came out. They look great with a bit of weathering on them. I ditched the lamps they came with and replaced them with Modelu 3D lamps…

Guys - stop showing these superb wagons, your making me jealous - still waiting on my 15 DB ones I take it your still snowed under sending these out T4U ? Dave

Hi Gareth, Have these been despatched yet? If not how do I go about altering my delivery address as due to a change in work I'm no longer at my original address!! Thanks in advance Dave
-
Nope, they are definitely Loksound v4 decoders !! Guess I’ll try and have a go at adjusting a few CV’s myself if I can find a Loksound guide on line and see if I can sort it - not the end of the world if I can’t.

Hi Folks, Have just acquired a couple of Howes sound chips for my Heljan Class 58’s and coupled with some XL iPhone speakers from Richard at Roads&Rails they sound great. Question is the acceleration/deceleration needs adjusting and also when they come to a stop, the sound file of the braking and engine sounds is a bit delayed - which looks a bit wrong. I’m guessing/hoping it’s a case of adjusting cv values but as I’m a noob as regards dcc tweaking, I’m hoping someone could help out? I’m using an NCE Powercab system. Thanks in advance Dave

Hi Folks, Anybody know if there are any other suppliers of spares for Heljan other than Howes? I’m particularly interested in replacement wheel sets for some other older diesels namely class 47s & 33s. Thanks In advance Dave

Accurascale PCA STS Wagons

I’ve been using that excuse for years - the last ‘large box of cat food’ story wasn’t successful either lol! To be fair she’s pretty good about it - I think -

Rail Head Treatment Train (RHTT) in OO Gauge
Cradley Bridge replied to Hattons Dave's topic in Hattons
My 3 wagons - Sandite Pair plus additional water tank wagon, have arrived. No damage whatsoever!! Have to say they were very well packaged by Hattons. Opened them all very carefully just in case anything had come adrift or was broken but all OK and where it should be. As commented on already, the tray/blister pack the wagons are held in are quite secure, so difficult to say or see how the damaged ones are occurring -
Brilliant place!! Only been there once when holidaying near by - but they get regular orders from myself for German H0 stock - beat the other suppliers by a hell of a lot on price, especially on some of their Roco stuff - you have to be quick tho as their stuff doesn’t hang around long!!

Modelux Website/Instructions
Cradley Bridge replied to Pocket Rocket's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Just as an add on to this topic - I finally finished the large Modelux bridge. Have to say it was a joy to build (even without instructions lol) The base needed some strengthening (I used plastic girders/bracing) but apart from that it has become a super light but strong bridge that I think looks pretty good. I’ve finished it in Halfords red oxide primer with the handrails in Tamiya NATO black. Despite being lightweight card it handled the paint well. I hope I see these reappear one day as I for one would deffo buy a couple more. If anyone had one of these they’d like to ‘pass on’ DM me !! This is due to go on my German H0 modern image layout - whenever that appears -

Hornby CLASS 92 PANTOGRAPH'S
Cradley Bridge replied to RBC's topic in Modifying & Detailing RTR stock
Afraid I had the same problem. Ended up getting an old Lima one of Ebay - to be fair the pans were better quality and it came with better roof detailing and some other bits for the front. I transferred these onto the Hornby one. Might do the same with the DB version I have too! -
Modelux Website/Instructions
Cradley Bridge replied to Pocket Rocket's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
I didn’t get any instructions when I purchased the large bridge kit off them. In the end I searched the t’internet and found enough images to allow me to build it. Great kit in the end and it’s a shame if they aren’t producing them anymore as I for one would have purchased a couple more... -

Revolution Trains - OO - TEA Tanker
Cradley Bridge replied to Gerald Henriksen's topic in Revolution Trains
Has any body had an issue with bits missing from their 00 tankers? Only noticed today that 3 of my EWS tankers have brake shoes missing on one of their bogies? Checked in the packaging/box and they are not there, so duly sent an email to their parts dept, but as I know these things have sold out pretty much everywhere I was wondering if anybody else had managed or needed to get spares?? Thanks in advance
