No, I'm sorry. Maroon 'Westerns' may have worked through on stone or car trains. This link might be of interest:-
Many thanks for this much appreciated.

In that era Maroon was never a tsandard livery for anything else than the WR Hydrolics. So green and blue are the only options.
Ok thank you.

Also Brush Type 4s, BR Type 2 (Class 25), BRC&W TYPE 2 ( Class 27) and EE Type 1 ( Class 20).
Thank you. Would any of these be painted in a maroon livery?

I didn't think the DBSOs had a 'socket' as such, I thought it was just a built in lighting board combining the interior lights on the PCB with built in decoder. Check the data-sheets though, see what they say. I'd be surprised if it didn't work on DC already though
Thank you for your reply. I will probably contact Bachmann.
Thank you.

Thinking of ordering the Anglia and Intercity ones. Do you think you could put a blanking chip decoder and remove the decoder the model comes with as I do not have DCC. ? I also hope that the MK2 in Anglia livery will be available at some point.
Thank you

Thank you. This is the lounge on the house plan but it is now the Lego railway room. My lounge is in the master bedroom and my bedroom is in the 2nd bedroom.

Hi Kris. Thank you for your reply. Yes I have opened it up and run it like you said and it is still unfortunately the same. I will try and send it back. I have had the same problem with a class 86 and their HST. The 86 had a new chassis and the HST had a new motor.

Hi Steven. Thank you for the reply. It runs on DC no decoder is fitted it also runs the same with the body off. The motor gets hot too after a short run. I ran it just now and the speed was set to 50 on the controller and went to a complete crawl in about 3 minutes.
Many thanks

Hi. I have a n gauge class 33 after a minutes running it slows down and sometimes comes to a complete stop without me changing the speed. However sometimes it will run fine. It will sometimes get hot. It happens in both directions. Any ideas what can be done to fix it other than returning it.
Many thanks regards Jaeson

I made the trip today from Norfolk. I got there at 9.30 parked at the school and walked to the Alton model centre. I brought a few things and then walked back to the school for 10.30 I left the show at 15.45 and was back home at 20.30. it was a good show. I brought some more foam trays for JBs I'm still using the ones he made for me 21 years ago still like new. Also spent some money with Joe lock and a few other traders. Good to see Bachmann there too. Very good layouts to watch. Thank you to everyone who made it a good day for me and organised it.
