Indeed, my house is one of about a hundred in the row, broken only for a small alleyway to the 'backs' and built in the late 1890's I believe.
Can you turn the music down please? I can't hear the telly!

I'm goign to start my 50 fleet with 50022 in faded Large Logo Blue, circa 88. After that, I will have the rest in number order from 50001, all in the condition they were in on 01/01/88. I'll probably still have 6, 11 & 14 in LL with black roof even though they were withdrawn by then.

Oh not half squire.... Network Rail have just installed two brand new lower quadrants at Banbury! Not to mention the one installed at Truro a while back..... softly, softly, catchy monkey
Mike - re the ubiquitous Bachmann Mk1... I think it's a conspiracy you know, those Barwell chappies must have put some secret chemical in the paint finish, every time I look at mine and pick them up, I want to go out and buy some more. It's a bit like having a Chinese meal, then half an hour later you want another one...

Eh up Bruv, a brand new three signal semaphore gantry went up at Langham nr Oakham in 2004. Also, Rectory Junction box has a newish semaphore next to it too. Ours are all uppy, not downy though. :-)

I'm currently (and very slowly) working my way through this thread and the 50+ page thread on WNXX to compile all sighting and workings of the class so far for a fleet history. I wish there was a more detailed record of the early workings of the 37's so I figured I'd start one for 70's from new. Keep posting your gen here and it'll go in the archive.
GE's are hell. You wouldn't catch me doing this for GM's.

Just viewed this thread for the first time. I'm an XC driver on the Stansteds and pass the gaggle of neds at WO on almost a daily basis. Present day stuff doesn't do anything for me but this is spookily brilliant. Can you put a fat slaphead with a goatee in one of your 170's and make sure he waves and blows the horn as he passes? I'm sociable like that.

For me its that "Every layout must have one" feature regardless of how common the subject was in real life - the every US layout has a grain silo from the thread on the old forum being the classic...
I'm modelling the UP mainline in Nebraska. I'll have a hard time justifying NOT putting one in.

I absolutely love this layout. The attention to detail is fantastic but you missed out one thing. 37413 had a unique livery variation when it was grey. The bottom grey continues up around the cabside windows and under the cantrail above the windows. Fot here:http://wobblewinterwanderings.fotopic.net/p55922251.html

Former Network SouthEast, ScotRail branded Mk2a (circa 1991)
in UK Prototype Questions
Posted
I am looking for information on Network SouthEast Mk2a TSO's/BFK's/BSK's which were reallocated to Scotland around 1991 and rebranded/partially painted with ScotRail logos, as per the first coach in this photo by Roddy MacPhee, specifically which coach numbers received this treatment...
If anyone has any close up photos of individual coaches, these would be greatly appreciated. I believe 35500, a BSK was so painted.
Cheers
