  1. The 2nd one just needs some tatoos to go with the facial piercings.
  2. Wow! What a model. It really is stunning. In real life its even more impressive than in the photo. I've just ordered a coal sector one as these are just too good not to. Huge congratulations Cavalex on a masterpiece and a work of art.
  3. Looks good the new 87 and the creamish colour looks good to my eyes. The APT cream colour was spot on, I wonder whether they've used the same colour.
  4. Fran, it's remarkable and breathtaking the new lease of life and realism you've brought into model railways. Many thousands and more are incredibly grateful, including myself. A big THANKYOU from me.
  5. Just opened my green deltic - just wow! What an incredible model - I'm just blown away by its look and the level of detail. Huge congratulations Accurascale on a market leading product.
  6. Perhaps those figures could be used to fill up your model railway's disability quota. Equal opportunities for all, including small model people.
  7. Brilliant news! Have ordered the Kingsman and really looking forward to it. I have 3 already and they're excellent locos.
  8. Absolutely love this layout and rolling stock - my favourite era/eras. What is the dimension of the room out of interest?
  9. I've just bought 3 'new' Hornby mark 2es, 2nd class and there are noticeable dips around each of the mould injection points in the roof. Has anyone else had thus problem? The first class ones seem ok.
  10. I've opened my 5 car set up. I haven't got a railway as of yet to run it on. The paint work and glazing are spot on - as good as I've seen on any model. I just hope, when I eventually run it, that I don't have the electrical problems.
  11. Just picked up my intercity executive livery model and it looks fantastic to my eyes. I know some have mentioned a few minor details but it's still a cracking model and much appreciated from an 80s west coast fan.
  12. Can't wait for my executive livery one, plus my freightliner order - this 86 is a terrific model. I'm still over the moon with my blue 86.
  13. Took 3 days I think, but I didn't collect it from my neighbours until days after it arrived.
  14. Received mine and I'm really impressed, aside from the capacitor position. They look fantastic - excellent finish, colours and shape and the glazing/windows really excellent. The only other thing is the pantograph which I'm scared to raise. The body work though is truly excellent.
  15. Just received 4 Bachmann Swallow livery units. It may just be mine, but the paint on the stripes isn't as good as on the executive ones as there are faint bleeds into the next colour and each stripe isn't so well defined because of this. For £80 a piece I'm going to have to return them which is a shame.
  16. That's absolutely stunning interior detail! From the inside you can see the green model scenery out of the window on the left. The carpet and interior flush glazing, and seats are beyond incredible.
  17. I really agree with you. Some people aren't happy unless they have something to moan about. These models look absolutely fantastic at a great price too considering all the features.
  18. Have visited Chester Cathedral today to see the layout and it's superb. And the Apt looks absolutely terrific live. Photos don't really do it justice - the paint job especially, detail and window surrounds look amazing. For anyone who's ordered this, like myself, has a lot to look forward to. BTW, lights in all carriages too. It looks quite a stunning model.
  19. I live in Warrington and this model is superb, it feels very real. Huge congratulations!
  20. It's obviously a bit late now as I own 3 class 87s: they're really good to my eyes apart from the curved shape at the cab front - it really bugs me and It spoils the authentic look of the loco. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice this.
  21. Looks fantastic and fast as well!
  22. Same here. I've put off my remortgage application to do some much needed work for 4 months. With my orders for the class 86, APT and class 55 I'm knackered. But I don't regret it at all. I can live with my house being delayed, but I don't want to miss out on the any of the trains I've been dreaming of for years.
  23. Pleasure cravensdmufan. They really are excellent models.
  24. Hi chaps, here are some photos: I'm over the moon with this. It's the 86 I was dreaming of many years back. The photos look descent but it's terrific in the flesh. I'd say possibly my favourite out of the ac models on par with the 90. It has some nice weight too and feels like it'll do the business. The weathering really brings out the bottom half really well - the detail is outstanding- looks very realistic and truly super detailed. ( The panto and electrics on top are the most realistic compared to other ac releases as they don't look plastic. The buffer beam detail and front are spot on and I really like that the details are there from the off. Only tiny thing to say is the weathering which is still really good; on the sides I manipulated just a few bits with my thumb and it's fine. I'm really fussy and would have returned it if it was anything more than a minor point, but the fronts look great with their weathering especially. Most of all, to me, it looks right; it says class 86 with conviction. It really is a fine and lovely model. My rake of Mark 2As (Intercity) have heart-shapes in their eyes as they have the ideal partner to pull them and be seen with on nights out. Really, really impressed and over the moon. I'm not a rivet counting expert, but I am fussy too; can't wait for the 86/4 batch. Well done Heljan! Fantastic work. Many years of dreaming are now reality (as an 80s ac enthusiast).
