  1. Autofill works just fine on my iPads on the accurascale site, can’t say I ever use the phone for that as I like to see what I’m doing!
  2. Excellent service from Derails. Ordered 37001 and D6702 after seeing they were in stock on Saturday 18th November, they arrived in a very well packed box about an hour ago courtesy of Royal Mail. Have only had a cursory glance at them so far,but they both appear to be lovely models.
  3. 37001 & D6702 arrived with Royal Mail about 40 minutes ago just before lunch. So far only had a cursory glance at the locomotives. Very well packed by Derails in fairly sizeable box.As I type this just had a message from accurascale to inform that D6703/4 are on their way via DPD.My last delivery from accurascale about a month ago and most previous deliveries have used DHL. Is there a reason for the change of courier or is DHL busy?
  4. Now one left! Also managed to bag a sound fitted D6702.
  5. I would echo those remarks. I received 37027 on Friday ,the new end pieces hold the locomotive box very securely in the outer packing ,giving about 1/2 inch gap all around . I had some difficulty extricating locomotive box from outer box because it is so snug, but that is far better than the box rattling around. This is very good for a single locomotive, but how will multiple locomotive orders be sent in future ,presumably not individually?

Would agree that Ajin/FIA locomotives look great ,but unfortunately as built have an inability to traverse even moderate curves and points (Peco medium radius). I had intended fitting mine with ultrascale wheels but subsequently managed to obtain both Dapol and Bachmann examples all of which are fine runners. The Ajin pair currently are only display queens.
  7. Definitely incorrect! I studied various Masterpiece Western models at the Steam event at Swindon last weekend as well as the real thing D1062 at the SVR over the last couple of days at the Autumn Steam Gala and they were all the right way up. Have also seen pictures of D1015 Western Champion builders plate, also the right way up!
  8. Just been reading the Model Rail review of this locomotive. They state that the builders plates are upside down, so I thought I would get the magnifying glass out and look at my model. Sure enough they are indeed upside down. One would think that they could have got that right as it is not a cheap model. Fortunately not noticeable at normal viewing distance, but knowing it’s wrong at some time I will have to remove them and reattach the right way up!
  9. just had an email from Irish Railway Models to inform that Murphy Models mark 2 air conditioned coach’s are available to order on their website as well as a reissue of the the Baby GM’s classes 141/181. There are twelve coaches available , 5 in Galway livery the other 7 in IR livery with orange roofs. The baby GM’s are being produced in a variety of black&tan, supertrain,IR & IE liveries, a total of 9 different numbers being available. They are also are on Hattons and Antics website.
  10. DHL just delivered 37402 dcc ready + sound decoder +accurathrash speaker. I would have ordered a sound fitted version on Monday afternoon when they became available, but with only 2 on the website other people had faster fingers than mine ,and it was sold out within a couple of minutes .Hence the purchase of a non-sound loco + decoder/speaker. Already have a sound fitted 37409 ,so will take the roof of that to act as a guide when I come to fit chip/speaker to 37402.
  11. My D1000 (dcc/sound) arrived yesterday at midday with the normal postie delivering the letter Mail.I had to sign for it.I think the box is a rehash of the original ten years ago, the picture now shows it with SYP. Richard
  12. Picked up 37409 (sound fitted) from Trevor at Cheltenham Model Centre yesterday afternoon ,after a phone call from them at lunchtime to say it was in stock. Haven’t had a chance to run it yet , but taking it out of the box, it certainly looks to be the dogs wotsits!
  13. Various sources I have seen on the web and the platform 5 book state that both classes are 20.5 metres in length, so is that wrong?
