  1. Yep here it is 300 orders required was standing at 168 back in september Mark
  2. I thought he was still short of the target so he does need more orders. Mark
  3. The embargo bit was in the covering email but I agree it's a bit much!
  4. Yep don't share for 2 weeks until on website. Mark
  5. Just noticed on the Bachmann thread that the class 66 is not due this year so Bachmann will be last with the duplicated hattons/ Hornby liveries. I have pre ordered one but wonder how many sales they could miss out on due to this. Mark
  6. I have a similar issue with the plug being unseated and it won't settle down again. Am considering superglue but if that does not work will make fixing even more difficult? Any suggestions? Thanks Mark
  7. No I don't think so as I believe the Heljan 86 is the result of the influence of Ben Jones since he joined Heljan although I have no evidence of this. The spoiler comment was a good few years ago now Mark
  8. Yep how long ago was that quote now! Feels like a bit of mischief making now due to the none appearance of said model. Mark
  9. In case anyone is looking for a cheap Hornby 92 to detail in the meantime hattons have one for £52. It is original Livery with the 3 beasties logo/ sticker on the side. Mark
  10. Emailed SLW re the release date for the rtc class 24 to be told hopefully January as the November delivery date has obviously slipped a bit! Mark
  11. Apart from price the other main difference is one is available and the other not! Mark
  12. I have a fleet of Bachmann 66's in various liveries which I can't see hattons doing such as London Underground so don't want to off load all my Bachmann for the sake of it. I will see how the hattons one stacks up when it arrives and may order more in the future we are after all only at the first tranche of models. £30 isn't a huge amount in the great scheme of things but am trying to reduce my overall spend in the hobby so every little helps. Cheers Mark
  13. Yes still have 1 hattons on order just to see what they are like. Mark
  14. Have just cancelled one of my hattons class 66 and ordered the Bachmann version- it's the best part of 30 quid saved so if that's what Bachmann intended it worked! Mark
  15. Thinking about it I have 2 hattons 66 on order and I could now buy them both from 3 manufacturers. While I want one of the hattons class 66 I don't necessarily want 2 so could buy the cheaper Bachmann version and save a bit of cash. Wonder if hattons will fire back with a price reduction of their own? Mark
  16. Interesting to see the class 66 battle develop and that Bachmann have reduced the price of theirs which may effect the sales of the Hornby version in particular. Glad 158 now DCC ready so may get one and also the stabling point looks interesting too. Can't help but feel not much announced as Bachmann May be trying to reduce the gap between announcement and delivery so there may be a lot of work on new models going on behind the scenes. Even more interesting to see the class 90 due to ship Q1 which could be an optimistic march/ April delivery can't wait for those. Hopefully no price increase either! Mark
  17. Someone told me the announcement was 12 midday and here we are at 12.19 with nothing! Oh hang on never put the kitchen clock back in October! Silly me. Mark
  18. My dad passed away last year and although we knew who he liked it was difficult choosing songs so I would advise everyone to write down their preferences or just make sure their significant other is aware of what they want because who knows what could happen. Bit morbid I know but working in nursing we find this all the time I however intend to live forever or until I build all my Kits whichever comes first! Mark
  19. I see this as a sign that they see demand for the 92 and will cash in on people waiting for the DJM version if/ when it appears. They have the tooling the model owes them nothing so why not use it for a quick win. Mark
  20. I reckon the picture on the front of the catalogue is the sealed beam peak. You heard it here first unless someone said it before and I missed it! Mark
  21. I did wonder this as Heljan have announced a new 86 but no specific identities for the models. Is this so they can avoid a number /name clash with another supplier? Probably not! Mark
  22. I know that just interesting how each company operates and imagine the rush to get photos and text on at the allotted announcement time for people waiting back home.
  23. So does this mean you have no idea what's coming either? I know some companies give press packs first and on occasion you have the topic ready to unmask but I guess not in this case? Mark
