Hi mate, will be following with interest, plans are looking great! I have a very similar set up with baseboards in the loft but am currently in the process of considering/planning to dismantle my start and insulate properly as the drastic temperatures put me off slightly!
You may wish to give that some consideration if you're up there regularly enough for prolonged periods!
Good luck!

I also have this problem and didn't realise until i'd already pre-soldered the wires! Keep us posted if you have any luck.

All sounding good, a very ample space too! Will be following with interest.

Just spent the last hour and a bit reading through this when I should be cracking on with my own layout!
Absolutely fantastic stuff, a great attention to detail and level of skill/talent a lot of us wish we had.
Well done mate.

Absolutely fantastic. Should've followed this sooner! Hope your wifes operation went well, after all, they are always the real and hidden mastermind behind a successful layout!

Chris,
Will be watching with interest. Great to see a resurrection rather than replacement! Awesome work.
May I point out, you were supposed to be bringing the standard down!!!
Cheers

Very impressive modelling, you clearly have some great skills. We share the interest in china clay. Looking forward to seeing your next layout.

Hello mate,
Cracking layout and have been engulfed reading the thread, from beginning to current. I recently watched a video somewhere about some of the Humbrol washes etc that are becoming available, is heavily weathering the brick something you've considered?
Maybe some sort of dark wash would help it blend in better with the cut stone?
Otherwise, I'm loving it! Looks great! If mine comes out anything like that i'd be delighted.
All the best.
Neil
I think i'll go with the stone option
Ive managed to leave a small plynth 2 stone tall above the platform side of the building so the canopy can rest on it
Again, with 2 unmodified Hornby canopies in place to get the idea
Ive reglued the 6 canopy sheet and left the exopy to cure until tomorrow when i can get back in the shed and see how it looks in place- 1

As someone whos normally fairly laid back, i'm afraid the "it arrives when it arrives" attitude is what is allowing companies like Bachmann, Hornby etc continue with their inflated prices of products to the extent they do. In doing so, they are killing the hobby. (Not a dig at the poster, just a personal issue. We, the customer, spend thousands of pounds on models, and don't expect to be let down! (Further footnote, I'm no rivet counter!))
Considering the original expectation was November 2017, this is highly embarrassing for Bachmann.
