I have NEVER criticised getting the scale right, I am against all those who criticise people for doing something they enjoy themselves and NOT what the others want. It seems to many people  are self centred and want everyone to do things THEIR way. It is the same with some 3mm society members, they cannot accept we all have our own likes and dislikes.

Just because I like Tri-ang I do not criticise scale modellers so WHY do they criticise me, thats the issue.

Who else? Please do not include Gaugemaster as their TT items are rebranded foreign ones already available and have been for a long time.

Tell me, what is so good about the ridiculous narrow gauge appearance of the old model, the stupidly small driving wheels, the apparently stretched body, the massive gap between loco and tender?

The Corgi appears to be a reasonable model, the Tri-ang looks like a poor toy - it might work as in run around a circle of track but it looks diabolical.

Firstly, you dont seem to know too much about the Tri-ang model stating "stupidly small driving wheels", they are 18mm in dia which equates to 6' which is very close to a Brits.

Secondly why do you criticise what many people enjoy?  Why should we all have to have models that you like the look of?

I have many, many models of which many people have seen and not one mentions the "narrow" track they all appreciate the models for what they are and if you cannot do that then I feel sorry for your narrow mindedness.

Get a life and understand we are all different and have different ideas and do things differently.  There are too many people ready to complain about others but not show their own, where are your TT models?

In what way?  I have many, and I mean many, models with Tri-ang TT chassis's which I would not have if they were no good.

Depends where you buy them Hattons is cheap, no idea on mine I just bought a point, 3 lengths of track and some fishplates and paid the total.

Another fine RTR loco from Lincoln Loco works, this time a class 52 Western. As usual central motor, 8 wheel drive and pick-ups, and no tyres.

Keith, A very small amount of plastic removed from the inside of the check rail, then, because the check rail looks thinner than the H0m I removed a little on the inside of the metal check rail at the frog. Plus, a slight amount removed in the gap where the two running rails converge in front of the frog.

No metal ones as I don't have plastic wheels on my layout, apart from odd tenders and bogie ones waiting to get changed.

These two coaches, loco and tender have all their original Tri-ang wheels but they are not all free running on their axles but still go through the point. No doubt removing them to clean and oil so the run as they were intended would help them.

21 long, just under 2 wide and spaced with a 4mm gap.

A slight point mod similar to my H0m ones but Tri-ang seem to run okay with it.  The class 20 has a continental chassis and still runs through after the mod.

I've seen another retailer post on social media the delivery of TT items they've received from Devon. Everything except the Flexitrack. I suspect most will be getting theirs in the next day or two. 

York model shop has all the items, I just wanted the track though for testing but they had the buildings and platforms as well as the flexitrack.

Thanks to Michael Bassett at Monk Bar model shop informing me they now had the TT 120 items in stock, I now have track and a point for test purposes later tonight. Looking at the point I am very dubious I can get a Tri-ang loco through it.

As Robert has said there has always been a large support for TT3 since 1959. One name Robert missed was Eames who made a diecast/whitemetal pannier body different to the Gem and Bec ones. Also S&T who made signals. K's also made 3mm loco and wagon kits so there are 3 more on top of all Roberts names.

You state "offering support", Heljan have said late 2023 for the diesel which is a long way off and no certainty it will happen. Gaugemaster are only offering what is already available to the continental modellers so nothing new as such yet.

The flanges are not too hard to alter, they only need something like .5 off so could be done with a file by hand, or even in a drill, if you dont have a lathe. With mine revolving in the lathe it is 4 strokes with the file only at light to medium hand pressure.

I am still awaiting the new track to test. Peco told me the morning of the announcement at the beginning of June it was ready to despatch to dealers, so far, dealers have not received any. At least none I have looked at, they all say available June which has now gone. 

Here are two TT Brits made by the same company 40+ years apart, the standard Tri-ang at 1:100 and "their" Corgi one at 1:120.  

I know a lot of water has gone under the bridge but Hornby owns Corgi and Hornby was originally Tri-ang ( the pedantic may say Rovex).

Yes, my argument at shows is if you can hear it while at the next layout it is too loud. Some shows you can still hear layouts when in another room which is bad.  When exhibiting once the layout opposite was so bad we had to get the manager to tell them to switch off as my wife had to turn her hearing aids off and it spoilt any videos of my layout.  Then, I have yet to hear one that sounds right as all sounds are from 12" to the 1' which does not scale down to 7 or 4mm to the foot.

Ha ha, I will not have DCC or sound in any loco.  At shows I usually walk away from layouts with sound as it is terrible in my opinion. Nothing sounds right.

Here is one of Lincoln-Locos 25k, AL class, 3D printed bodies having a run. This is mounted on two Halling motor bogies as yet missing two matching sideframes on the opposite side. There are some neat, non working, 3D printed pantographs to fit later.

A couple of Deltics passing on the ECML. Both are from Lenny at Lincoln-Locos, one an old resin body, the other a 3D version. All coaches bar the 12 wheeler are Tri-ang with most of the maroons just lined and varnished but not painted.

Lined out a BR 2P with the new MT lining from Railtec.

It is a pity they do not do passenger green lining in orange/black/orange.
