  1. Hi,

Is there anyone out there who can identify these signals. They are grey plastic, OO/HO scale in terms of the height, and appear to clip onto or into track. I have found the occasional image of Marklin and Fleischmann signals which bear a resemblance to these, but its a passing resemblance only, the Marklin and Fleischmann ones appear to be more advanced than these.

    Thank youpost-22976-0-98318900-1518974311_thumb.jpg

  2. Good evening all,

I have been trying to find any information about the signals in this photo. They are plastic and similar in height to regular Hornby signals and appear to clip into track. There are some similar signals made by Fleischmann and Marklin, but they are not the same as these, indeed the Fleischmann and Marklin ones appear a bit more advanced.

Does anyone out there have any ideas ?

    Many thankspost-22976-0-94360700-1518124521_thumb.jpg

  3. Hi,

I just had a look at that one on E-Bay, it looks very slightly different to mine (running numbers). As much as I would love to think these are worth £675 each (or anything remotely close to that), I cannot imagine that is the case. I don't really want to put them on E-Bay because if the market for them is thin, they will end up selling for next to nothing. I think I will swing past the local auction house and see what they can tell me.

The plus side, I inherited these so they don't owe me anything, and therefore I cannot miss what I never had !

Thanks again for all your help chaps, I knew this would be the place to ask.

  4. Hi Stephen,

Many thanks for the info. The body and roof are indeed one piece, the ends are metal. I have attached a photo of the underside, although from your message, that may not be the deal clincher.

I actually have three of them, all the same except one is missing one of the gangways.

I don't suppose you have any sort of idea of an approximate value range ?  I don't really know what I want to do with them.

    Many thanks

    Terry

  5. Hi,

I have a model of an all metal Southern Royal Mail coach, see photo's. There are absolutely no makers markings on the coach, and only 'S5' on the end of the box, no makers stamps, nothing else. I am rather stumped as to its history. My thought was possibly Hamblings but this is quite some years before my time.

Would very much like to hear from anyone who can shed some light on it.

    Many thanks

    Terry
