After a grand total of 820mm of rain, I am pleased to inform you that I have cancelled my order for a replica of the Ark. I was going to build one, sourcing suitable ply from a well known Wokinghan refuge centre but alas the sun has decided to make an appearance and dry things out....

Some minor water damage but we got off quite lightly compared to others.

On the downside...My dear mum passed away 2 days ago. It was not unexpected as we had previousily been told that she had only 6 to 12 months to live. A blessing was that passed away in her sleep.

Warm and very wet weather message

Temp ... High of 27C and expecting a low of 25C....Humidity is very high

Sunrise 05:31 (ha ha has been complete cloud cover) and sunset 18:47

Rain......160mm plus since 3pm yesterday (or greater then 6 inches for those that way inclined)

Wind is gusting to well in excess of 50kph

Slight water ingress into house but very minor

High of 31C min of 26C . Winds gusting from 20 to 45kph. Showers and possibly thunderstorms

How to juggle a berry

New bin day today. Despite umpteen phone calls to the council, still no blue bags, so stuff is out the front in black bags. 'Customer Services' assure me they will take black bags. Bin men have already said they won't. Another gold star for communication of strategy......

Last night in paradise.....25C at 11:30 pm. Fly back to the UK on Sunday

Be back in 3 months once house sale is completed and notice period worked

Have a good weekend ( as I enjoy being cramped up in cattle class for 24 hours)

Back to Oz for 3 weeks then back to the UK..

Have another 3 and a bit months left in the UK

Now for the current weather forecast.....

Took Pete's advice and battened down the hatches and ran away to warmer weather

Excellant news about Gordon though shame about the hair

We are planning on moving back to Oz this year. It will be sad to go but the time is right to go back.
