My Viridian version just arrived Down Under from Rainbow Railways. A very tidy model, glad I purchased. Strangely the smart outer card box is perfect, but the inner plastic tray is broken, two horns loose in the wrapper and the fitted coupling is snapped clean off. Doesn't really feel that the model could rattle around within tray and the outer box, so maybe a problem at the factory?

Of course the "proper" solution would be to buy sound fitted ones in the first place but sometimes either you need to spread the cost, or you change your mind and decide to go DCC sound later on so just having the ability to buy the decoder and speaker is most helpful :)
DCC Sound 37027 is as rare as hens teeth for us down under. I cannot find anyone willing to send one overseas...

These are awesome. Having seen your photos I've put an order in for some myself, plus a heap of other items. Just wondering when you put your order in? I placed an order last Sunday and have only received an automated email in return...

I've been expecting the 'We're sorry for the continued delay' email only to realise that I never bothered preordering my two cranes. Has anyone counted up how many cranes weren't preordered in this thread alone?

Hi Wayne,
You may wish to mention where in the world you are to try and find someone local to you.

In another part of the world, UK to Australia is usually two weeks. Still waiting on a parcel from the UK, six week and counting. Having said that, a parcel from Melbourne to 90mins down the road took three weeks....

Just heard from Lloyds Debit Card Disputes that they are refunding my 6 car APT deposit of £162.49.
Can't thank you all enough for your assistance in recovering this money that I had presumed lost.
Cheers

Hello,
I paid my deposit for the APT using my Lloyds Visa Debit card, which I had written off long ago.
But last night I spent about an hour on the Lloyds Bank contact us messenger service via the banking app, and they have come to the conclusion that I can now dispute the payment.
I'm not getting my hope up, but if you don't ask...
They said:
The last things I need to advise you of, with regard to this dispute, are:
Disputes email - DebitCardDisputes@lloydsbanking.com (where you will send evidence)
You disputes ref - X-XXXXXXX
You have 14 days to submit the evidence to us.
It takes us 5 working days to review evidence once it is received.
If further information is required, we'll be in touch
Following the investigation, if we are able to pay a refund it will be paid directly into your account
Ensure you add the above disputes reference to the "subject line" of any email you send us.
EVIDENCE NEEDED:
covering letter detailing the circumstances of the purchase and the reason for the dispute
AND
Copies of any documentation that evidence their contact with the retailer, including any invoices.
AND
An email from the retailer
OR
A screenshot from the retailer's website
OR
Details from the Insolvency service.

I'm tipping another Class 37 to the long list. D6700/37350 to coincide with next years 60th Anniversary. Maybe.

I quite like there being no updates on this page as there isn't anyone moaning...

Great stuff - I did hope it would be one of those, although I personally was hoping for one that had the white lower bodyside stripe to make it stand out more as a Scottish livery variation from the standard BR blue locos.
Totally agree. To be honest that would have the reason for me to purchase.

I'm hoping that with some gentle persuasion the IT guy will do the right thing and hand over the files and passwords. It sounds like it's all ready to go and it's not like he can sell the product elsewhere. Fingers crossed for you Dave

Amazing work. Could I ask what paint/colour you used on the bridge?

I was number 9 on the list and my model was partially printed so would be interested in paying for the bits paul, has printed along with remaining parts
I was number 7, with 65% completed. I have messaged Paul hoping to buy the parts, but haven't heard back. Really don't want Paul to be out of pocket with all of the hard work he put in.

Hi All,
Ive got 20 kits 75% done, but due to a host of issues not had any time, or the energy to do the rest.
Do any of you have access to a 3d printer, if so, would anyone be interested in the models STL files, if so drop me a line. In the meantime, I will plod on.
Regards
Paul
Hey Paul,
I have a kit on order, but appreciate creating these kits has become quite a burden on you. I would still like the kit, and happy to wait as long as it takes. But I also totally understand if you wish to pull the plug. I wouldn't want to see you out of pocket. Is it possible for you to get the missing 25% of the kits made for you, so that you can complete and sell the kits yourself?
Best wishes Jon

Make that another heading Down Under! Wishing you every success with this fundraiser.
Just checking, is the option to upgrade to Weathered arranged later?
Cheers

Just to note, mine has arrived back today. It came complete with new body (31268) and they enclosed the old body too! So where can I get a chassis to create a dummy engine?
Cheers Jon

Having returned my 31270 with cracked chassis during August, I got an email last week saying it had been fixed and was on its way back to me, however they have discovered there is a fault with the decoder. Who knows what happened to it, but I know it was ok when it left here! I'm just hoping I get a new body and get sent the old. There would be great a opportunity to do a scrap yard scene!

Morning chaps!
I'm near Geelong, not far from Melbourne. I reckon Peter wins the prize for most remote!

Hi,
I've just found this thread
I have only used Rails once, but never again. I was out looking to buy the Bachmann Class 150 Dynamis set. Living here in Australia, its all about postage costs, so I requested postage quotes from a few retailers, and in the case of Rails, I put in an order through their website, as it states during the check out procedure: "We want to give you the best value for money for your postage so we will hold your order and contact you with the best price.". Well a few days passed, and then I noticed they had taken some money from my account, so asked them what was going on. They replied saying my order would be with me shortly. They had gone ahead with the order, using a courier service which cost £53.14 just for the shipping. I was, and still am very unhappy with them. All they said was that they were 'not sure what went wrong'
They will never get the chance to do that again with me!
