  5. On the Arlington Facebook page there was comment made about Bachmann sponsoring 69009’s repaint, so maybe a collectors club model? May or may not be true. Time will tell…..
  6. Hi Andrew. I’ve been trying to order one of these models but I’m running into an issue on the payment page. It appears that the page has a delivery address option that is set to the UK and I’m actually abroad. So far I’ve been unable to alter this, am I just missing something simple? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Here’s a handful from John Turner’s wonderful Flickr pages. Does anyone have any further information on the location in the 1st photo?
  9. Hopefully some of our members may be able to answer this one. As the pictures linked below show, on several locomotives that were outshopped from Stratford Works after overhaul in 1990 the cantrail strips were a different colour and not the usual orange. I remember seeing 47007 and at least 2 of the AC’s that had them and from personal recollection (bearing in mind it’s 30+ years ago) I recall them almost being Fluorescent Red in colour. I’ve never been sure and did wonder if they were Rail Red but in saying that the difference is especially visible in the image of 87002.

  11. Whilst browsing Flickr I came across the following photograph and it piqued my interest. Do any of our members have any information regarding it? Was it just (part of) a pair and how long did it last in service? Subsequently found further photographs on Mr Bartlett’s wonderful website, apparently these were Lowliners. Never having heard of or seeing them before I’d still like to know how many there were and how long they lasted in service?

  14. How about something unique with the ability to complement existing models from other manufacturers? This example has fascinated me for many years. Maid of Morven. Granted it had a limited operational sphere in real life and as far as I’ve been able to ascertain minimal livery variations but with today’s technologies it could make for a stunning model. (Photos from Flickr) Such a shame that the real vehicle was such an early casualty of withdrawal.

  17. Long time admirer of your numerous layouts. I’ve never felt I had anything to contribute but whilst browsing Flickr, came across this shot. I wasn’t aware the 2 were onsite at the same time.
  18. Another Brunswick Green version delivered safely to Australia. The only issue was a loose short horn from one of the ends and one long horn completely missing, nowhere to be found in the sleeve/wrapper. A quick email to Simon in regards to obtaining a spare part resulted in an almost instantaneous reply requesting a couple of details being confirmed. Great customer service Well done to the entire team for bringing this wonderful model to the market. Now, how do I talk myself out of ordering the IHA when it becomes available….?

  20. Hi Fran & Co. Just wanted to offer you all a massive thanks for these stunning models. My initial order (419&423) arrived safely in Western Australia earlier this week. Which in itself is worth a massive pat on the back, 5 days in total from dispatch to delivery. Can’t argue with that 😉 I cannot praise you all highly enough for these, I must admit I’d completely forgotten about the handbrake chains and was surprised by their finesse. Let’s just say I’ve a ‘few’ more in order and really can’t wait for these to arrive now. And to make a change for the requests about 37800, how about 37611 in its new ROG livery? Regards to all. P.
  21. Having seen a front end image of the new loco I just wondered how much (if any) does it present a tooling challenge? Will the Dellner, buckeye(?) and screw couplings be provided as extras for the modeller to add? It’ll be interesting to see if they run in service with everything attached, as a driver myself I actually find the front quite ‘busy’. Regardless, it’s great to see new traction and technical advancements being made.

  23. Was there any information available from Phil on further variants of the disc fitted class 24s? If I remember correctly it was hinted at before and I noticed on the class 25 thread a yellow advertisement about the above.
