As other have said I saw this in the flesh at Statfold Barn over the weekend and no photo in this thread, no matter how good, in my opinion does any justice to how wonderful this really looks! A really charming layout that you are instantly convinced is of a real place.

Wasn't expecting that! A really good announcement, will have to resist thought. Might be difficult to though. I imagine the liveries will be the same as the four standard releases in 009 perhaps with an extra one as well. Maybe the dinorwic coal wagon will be in the May 1st announcements for 009.

Sadly no clues to be seen at all during setting up at Statfold tonight. But given location of announcement and the green background in the video link 009 seems a definite doesn't it. Perhaps a James Spooner to finish off the preserved Fairlies or an NG16 as they seem to be popular wants every announcement cycle. Darjeeling 19B as an outside bet but again no doubt would be popular and could be done in partnership with with the 19b society with donations to the boiler fund.

You've missed the Isle of Wight Steam Railway exclusive of island condition W2 'Yarmouth' in SR Olive Green.

I have been intending to weather down the wheels just keep forgetting but it hadn't occurred to me to grind the points down. Nice idea thanks! The kits do come with resin double flanged wheels but they don't run that well so swapping in and out for photos I could damage the axles. But the weathering and removing the points will be an improvement I agree.

Model Rail Magazine Vale of Rheidol 2-6-2T in 009
Karl replied to phil gollin's topic in Smaller Suppliers
There hasn't been any confirmation of liveries/running numbers etc yet so until we see those and decorated samples I suspect you won't get an answer. -
Class 37, by Accurascale
Karl replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
In Richard's latest new junction video he says Accurascale may have something at Model Rail Scotland. The 37403 announcements is perhaps hinting at a run of 37/4s including some 1980s Scottish versions being unveiled at Model Rail Scotland. -

Evening all, after some help. I've fitted dcc chip to the 0-4-0 Blanche before but I've got a second that I'm turning into Linda as I prefer that livery. I've removed the 5 screws and pipework as per last time I chipped one but I cannot get the body off this time. Has anyone else had a really stiff body and overcome it? If you have any advice on how would be great! Update. I forgot the instructions are poor and you have to remove more screws than it says! All sorted.
