  1. If you bring a 'true' 00 scale mug I will fill it for 75 new pence, but you will need to mind your fingers as I don't have an 00 scale teapot
  2. I can do you a deal on two cups of Tea for £1.20 each... (usually £1 each...)
  3. Hot and cold tasty bites will be available from the catering team on the day. We do welcome / rely on donations of CAKES to be sold/upsold/arms twisted on the day.
  4. NG7 could encompass other gauges if they so wished. They already have brands for 4mm (Bachmann Branchlines) and 2mm (Graham Farish) nothing says that all / any Brands within any business's portfolio have to follow any conventions.
  5. It is not a take, it is a 'Brand' not a description, it's no different from their N gauge range being branded 'Graham Farish' not 'N Gauge' or '2mm' or similar.
  6. Because it is their 'Brand' and they can call it what they like to differentiate it from 'convention'
  7. The UK distance selling regulations are quite clear that for any orders placed online the purchaser has the right to cancel including and up to 7 days after the item has been received (and if received returned undamaged) for a FULL refund. This includes any deposit (or whatever the seller might decide to try and call it) and as it clearly states a FULL refund no "admin" or any other charge can be taken. These regulations trump any sellers own "terms".
  8. The Wagons were supplied to Moger by Charles Roberts, and interestingly as stated, "although registered by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway they were lettered as L.B.&S.C.Rly", which is likely to mean that they intended for the Crystal Palace High Level traffic . The wagons were sent new to load at New Sharlston Colliery in Wakefield!
  9. The grate was not changed by Bulleid due to the fact it was such a shape owing to the relative positions of the rear axle / firebox, however by concentrating the allocation of the class at Bournemouth ensured greater familiarity / experience of the engines with the crews and how to fire them to get the best performance.
  10. And have steam locos driven by electric motors... Mornington crescent!
  11. Then perhaps such unprototypicical curves are unacceptable in this day and age...
  12. But you can already couple it up closer than the image shows so it's not a problem.
  13. A "never enough..." add to your collection (some at special offer price) here https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/c/1168/EFE-Rail
  14. Thank for clarifying, I look forward to your articles to help others finescale them.
  15. Kernow Model Rail Centre have the same deal. Keep an eye on the 2mm Association as I believe they are looking to produce drop in wheel sets.
  16. The latest trade email from Heljan this morning advised: "BR Class 86/2, Status - Awaiting deco samples, ETA - Q4 2024"
  17. The Vacuum Hose was to the left of the hook on the buffer beam with the steam heat hose to the right and lower down (note the steam heat hose itself was often removed during the summer months). There should also be a steam heat hose on the tender rear as well. On the Hornby model the steam heat pipes were, I think, supplied as separate parts within the accessory bag from memory.
  18. That will probably be one of the CAKES then... I won't say which it might be so that everyone has to purchase and try them all... This is of course a veiled reminder that all CAKE donations on the day are gratefully received!
  19. Indeed good to see that Swindon could recognise such good locos...
  20. Leigh, Thank you for your kind offer, I am pleased you have found my ramblings on my website useful. As it happens by trawling through the many sheets of various transfers I have acquired over time I found some numbers that I was happy with.
  21. 864 was the first LN to gain the Bulleid 'standard' malachite scheme ex works 10th June 1939 and indeed have gilt style lettering and numerals, including at that time the 9" bufferbeam numbers (later painted locos had 6" numerals) The 'golden yellow' lettering replaced the 'Gilt' from September 1941. Eastleigh started painting cab fronts black from 1946 you would need to refer to pictures to see if she gained such when repainted after the war and before she gained experimental apple green in 1949.
