Great work Julia. Dare I ask what the conversion components are and how have you solved the issue of farish chassis bearing slop? I assume it uses etched rods and association wheels.

Thats certainly spruced it up nicely. How great it must be to have a laser cutter at your office!

a scale model of the yard I passed every day going up to London Bridge - great work.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mother recently and I can imagine how hard it can be. Its good sometimes to have a distraction, and 2mm is as good as a distraction as I can think of.
Certainly the running qualities of modern diesels are hard to resist in 2mm and are so much easier than steam unless you take the stephen harris route.......

its a very impressive bit of turnout construction, a job well done - may I ask which point motors you are using.

One of the great things about wood work is that if your not happy with the finish you can use filler, sand it smooth and give it a slash of paint. I personally enjoy working with wood - ducks below parapet! I certainly found it a lot easier since I bought a plane allowing me to get straight edges.
All the best

have you thought about soldered track construction as you already have a templot layout or are you planning to use easitrack from the off? I have been quite taken by south wales modelling myself having seen articles about Stephen Harris' Yaysnarwed Sidings of which there are a few photos on the internet.
All the best with your project

It looks superb - City of truro is one of many projects I have thought about with doing - although as always, I have too many projects and too little time!
A bit of progress and I've finished a layout!
