  1. Have used a heaver gauge wire. Looks a bit rugged but works.
  2. This was a layout that I purchased and the remote units were what the previous owner used and once I got into the repairs in regards to the points wondered why he had used them but there are spots it was necessary. The wire supplied does seem to flex a lot so will try thicker wire. The joints in the base board were where some of the points are which I have replaced and altered the track layout a bit using Templot.
  3. I have fitted the remote unit as per the instructions for once ( usually it is if all else fails read the instructions) but cannot get the point to operate properly. I was wondering if it is not suitable for O Gauge. The layout is one I purchased and all the other points use the remote control. I have checked one off the originals and seem to have the same problem . Any help appreciated. Murray.
  4. Having to replace some damaged points I have come to the installation of the stretcher bars. The existing points have the connection to the stretcher bar in the centre which seems to conflict with the instructions from Ambis. Is there any reason why this could cause future trouble as these are connected to a remote unit.
