  1. In fact so good I've watched it multiple times - first time was, ah a video without sound for once, then the audible splonk at the end that tickles me most every time!
  2. go DCC, you will only need 2 - cough, ahem
  3. I got distracted with the first video by asking myself "oooooo, what are those things with flashing lights under the baseboard - do I need any" ;-) Then the little magpie dropped off my shoulder and I concentrated on the sounds. Seems to me that the "sound off" background noise (ie train running on track) seemed pretty much the same in both videos but with sound on tended to obscure the actual train noise - cutting across the same frequencies. What I'm trying to work out is whether that is the case in reality - you hear a generic train noise which, as it closes, becomes a more defined series of mechanical patterns. Not sure I'm tempted by sound yet...
  4. I bought some N stock this week on a bit of a whim. It sounds silly, and I must have see N, but somehow I wasn't at all prepared for how small it is. Having lurked on this thread for some time, I now appreciate your craftsmanship even more! Amazing stuff!

Nice socks :-) Seriously, looking good!
  6. Love the trainspotters must not sign but a little confused as to whether it is stopping them from reaching the end of the platform or from mingling with the passengers on the main body :-)
  7. The hill in the last picture looks a little steep :-) Nicely!
  8. I use a sprog 3 with rocrail - I couldn't get JMRI talking to my DCC concepts accessory decoders reliably. Really was plug and play and, using the touch screen machine, just works. Must admit it's the only dcc controller I've tried other than the ez commander, but when used with a wireless throttle app offers e erything I need.
  9. Haha! Didn't know quite what to expect when I saw your revised title. Great video and a viewof DP the layout rather thanthe model - if thats sense.
  10. The lighted signal is brilliant. It's one of those series of shots that have me looking at the short, stubby things that stick out of my hands and wonder if I'd ever be able to work with something so small. One day... :-)
  11. Looks good. Which camera is it?
  12. you use the "full editor" (pretty sure that's the right name) when editing one of the posts in the thread. This then allows you to edit title and description as well as the posts.
  13. Looking good - you make it seem quick and easy - one day I'll have a go at brass and soldering. One day... :-)
  14. I bought a few of those sections last year - finally gotten round to using them. Found going round non-90 degree bends a tad painful but they are easy to sculpt if a little brittle...
  15. Amazing layout! Not commented before, although I have been watching the videos for some time!
  16. It's about a year ago that I got into this model railway lark. Had been walking the old Rawtenstall to Bacup route and decided to try to find out where Bacup station was. First thing that came up on Google? Yup, you guessed it. Unarguably Jason's Bacup was the inspiration for me to get into this - and the wife is still after his blood - and this joint creation is in some ways perhaps even better. Thanks to you both for sharing. Your award is so well deserved. </sycophancy> :-)
  17. Excellent. Your photo updates have always been wonderful, but seeing the whole thing joined up as it were truly brings the layout to life!
  18. That bubble car driver gets everywhere - usually all over my layout ;-)
