I was in La Mure in June 2019 and took the opportunity to visit the station. Extensive work seemed to be underway to refurbish the track and the OLE with a promised completion date of summer 2020. A banner was being displayed on the station building showing the new route to a belvedere and panoramic restaurant. When I left in the direction of Grenoble I could see work being carried out on parts of the line. I presume that Covid19 has put an end to progress. Delfin

Sad news, let's hope that there doesn't need to be a long wait before the UK can host the NMRA National Convention again. This must be a hard blow to everybody who has put a lot of effort into organising this convention, I trust that the NMRA Committee will reward their efforts with a new convention in the UK fairly soon. A seaside terminus, St Gilles/Croix de Vie for example or Pornic. Although the latter might not fit. Most traffic being 73500 DMUs these days plus the odd engineering train/equipment. Delfin

For a layout using this vessel see the June edition of RMF. The layout of the month is called Tieppe, an artifice they should have avoided IMHO. Anyway it is worth seeing if you can get hold of a copy. Delfin

I'm quite happy to do so. I have about twenty photographs from Rodez, some of them went into an article I wrote for the SNCF Society (as it was then) journal. If I recall correctly, this particular train was destined for Albi in the other direction to Capdenac. Delfin

It was a great meeting which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was good to meet SNCF Stephen and see his products in the flesh, unfortunately I didn't take enough money to purchase the remorque I have being eyeing up for a while. As an admirer of French autorails one of these is a must, so I will be saving my pennies. Attached (I hope) is a picture of such a beast in use less than three years ago in September 2015.
