As 87s had headlights from new, you may well be right. I know on 86s this doesn't apply, of course 86s were retrofitted like everything else from that era.
From memory and looking at a few photos of class 87. All the class had the original flush fitted headlamp removed and the standard retro light fitted sometime in the 90s

Wow! Hornby Clan 72000 R2846, poor photos, described as never out of box just went for £294 on Ebay.
Wow can’t believe it’s gone for £294.00 compared to 72005 “as new” only went for around £150.00. So which loco is more desirable.
Cheers

Looking on eBay tonight I see someone is now selling 72005 Clan Macgregor as new.

A price of £150 for a second hand Clan does suggest to me that there isn’t much of a market for these models. I recently saw a new Black Five for sale at a show at £189.
Perhaps Hornby won’t be tempted to re-introduce this model.
Regards
Has anyone got any idea which Hornby locos are now commanding a high second hand price now.
Thanks

Looking on eBay today most of my collection falls in to the £100 to £200 pound bracket but what does surprise me is the price Wrenn locos still command. I see there’s a Wrenn loco W2314 Sir W Stanier in BR Green bidding up to £820.00.

Anyone know what’s the going rate for a Clan is.
Thanks

Just had an email from Hornby to say that British India Line 35018 - due to be released later this year, will now be Nederland Line 35014 - Early BR. Nice to see that Hornby have realised there are a number of names/numbers they have not used before.
That's a shame I was going to buy 35018. I just wonder if Hornby are missing a trick here with the real loco just about to renter main line service again. I wonder if they could of sold more models of 35018 against 35014 from people how have travel behind 35018.

General Steam Navigation with a cut down tender and late crest would be nice Hornby.
Plus if Hornby wanted to push the boat out they could also put a high sided light Pacific tender behind the following loco's 35021/22/23/24/25/26/27. All entered traffic with light Pacific tenders.

If Hornby have decided to reduce the production run on these locos the only people that will gain from this will be eBay sellers. Reminds me when 34001 Exeter came out a few years ago and seeing the crazy Prices on eBay.
-
I wonder if Hornby will now put the brakes on with new loco being released until they over comes their finance issues.

I wonder if people are moving away from oo gauge and moving in to o gauge and n gauge. I've started buying o gauge locos due to the increase in ready to run loco being available in o gauge.
-
Any reason why Wrenn locos fetch a high price compared to other manufacturers.
Thanks

Looking on another forum tonight someone has started a thread on is your model railway worthless. I've put a link to this below. What are your thoughts on his subject.

Just picked my terrier from AC models today. Now just have to wait for Dapols 08 to arrive.

Just got round to opening the box on 92023 today. Great to see a sheet of soft plastic, a lot better than having tissue paper protecting the loco. Is this the first time Hornby have used a plastic sheet.
Thanks

Just wondering will we see a Adams Radial train pack with these coaches at some point from Hornby.
-
Looking on tower models web site tonight I see the terrier has been put back again to mid/late May. What's going on!
-
Well my patience has run dry Dapol, my order for two BR Black Terriers has been regrettably cancelled. Not because I won't get two (hopefully) nice little models, but because I've had to cancel nearly £500 worth of business to my local model shop.
Instead I've opted for a Lionheart 64xx Autotank with sound, okay it costs about £200 more than the two terriers but I'll have a model within months and I know it will be awesome.
Great Western
I've been looking at this model for some time now myself. Did you go for the auto coach has well?

Anyone heard why the delivery date has been put back. Surely if we were look at a delivery date for February then the loco must of been in production or about to start production.
-
Looking on Tower Models web site today. I see the Terrier has now been put back to late March to early April.

A4 Bittern R3103 now showing out of stock on the Hornby web site. Just hope my local model shop has been able to put one by for me.
