  1. I've just bought one, wired it into the 12v on my controller as per the instructions and although I get a green light for power the motor wouldn't move at all.

It does look a good bit of kit but not a good start, I've returned it to the shop.

Also of note is that the instructions state that for the peco standard turntable lk-55 you need to add the spacers to the mounting brackets, this is in fact wrong and results in the gap being to big and not in contact with the turntable pole.

The instructions are also poor and vague!

  2. Hi folks,

I've just picked up a Bachmann Midland Pullman set and am running it on DC, however I've noticed the cab lights don't work? Is there a way to turn them on or off somehow in analogue mode? There are two switches under each power car above the bogies but they don't seem to do anything?

It may or may not be relevant but the lights don't work on one coach either?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. We went back again later and my mate went down to Dore end and got some pics from over the Bridge, but no Trains came through,  he couldn't hang around, as there was a 33 due on Shed.

We missed the arrival of the pristine Class 33, but managed to Bunk into the Yard to get some pics before being told to GO AWAY! :O

There was also a 44 hiding inside the Shed.

And another 08 on the Fuel Pumps.

We also got around to the back road and copped a very grubby 47, so pics of that later.

Hi Andy, what colours have you used for the concrete and tarmac sections?

    Looking good Andy.

  5. And in other news, yesterday saw some weathering jobs being done, both for myself and friends.

Firstly I had to do a Coach for a Mate, Ashley, (the younger one), for a Weed Killing Train, I did the other two and the Locos and Tanks about a year ago, so had to TRY to remember how I did it, and TRY to match it, I don't know which was the original and which one I did yesterday now.

Then for another Ashley, (the Older) a Bachmann WD.

    attachicon.gifWeathering Diesels 007.JPG

Next a few of mine, the first being a Lima 20, Large Logo on the left, (with the guts removed) for Double Heading.

    attachicon.gifWeathering 004.JPG

And then a couple of 37's, 2 X 47's and a 50, I hate doing Grey roofed Loco's, they are so difficult to get right IMHO, as the Louvre's are always oily.

No pic of this one, it's a Railfreight LL 47, as the Body is off awaiting the Sound chip that has just arrived a few minutes ago.

Or the Cl 50, 50046 Ajax with a Black Roof, I don't know why I didn't photograph that one either.

Nicely set of weathered stuff Andy, like the roof on the 47.
