  1. Very sweeping statement. It depends on who is running it and how it is done. DJM had red flags all over it in regard to the who and the how.
  2. BR Blue

    DJM, the end.

    I remain to be convinced.
  3. Shades of NSE blue did vary considerably. I always preferred the look of the lighter blue. I read somewhere that it was particularly prone to fading from sunlight and hence the adoption of the darker blue.
  4. I am still waiting for a 73/0 in blue or at least Dapol's interpretation of BR blue. I think the roof changed compared to the green ones? Otherwise I would just respray.
  5. Gone very quiet. There was supposed to be an announcement at Warley. Very strong rumours of diesel loco but nothing as yet.

The IP would rest with the designer but it seems that DJM got a factory to do the "designing". This would mean that once DJM paid for this service then DJM would own the IP. However if DJM did not pay then the ownership of the IP would be in dispute.

Agreed "Controlled" is probably better than "owned" in regard to the liquidator. However I do think the ultimate ownership could be disputed in some cases if the CAD work was not paid for. Another job for the liquidator to sort out.

    It would not surprise me

Exactly. The specific CADs and associated files owned by DJM (and now owned by the liquidator) cannot be used without permission to create products. However even that is blurred by fact that DJM did not create the files, the Chinese factory did and there is the question if the factory was ever paid for all this work. So even the ownership of the CADs is contentious. Additionally I wonder whether one of the registered CADs listed, that for D600, was ultimately ever used. I know for a fact that at least one of the other projects listed on the DJM website did not ultimately use the DJM created files and everything was redone before production as what DJM created was ultimately not considered suitable and there was no DJM contribution to the product that came to market.

Is not clear at all where the money went. The Chinese factories have apparently not been paid and yet money was paid by crowd funders. I would like to see more detailed accounts but doubt they exist. I would be particularly interested in any mention of directors remuneration.

I wished I had said more in hindsight but it was difficult. I was told information from 3 separate and unrelated sources about the activities of DJM. None of these people wished to go on the record, not so far anyway. Suffice to say in situations like this my sympathies would be with all involved but in this case my sympathies are purely with those who were taken in, the crowd funders. I have seen posts on this thread that related to previous events that predate DJM. I was not aware of most of this information and found it interesting and it informative but it paints a disturbing picture but sadly consistent with other more recent information. This is not a case of kicking someone when they are down. It is ensuring that people are more aware of what was going on. It is also to ensure that it does not happen again with another re-incarnation of a DJ enterprise that could cost modellers their hard earned cash.

It is not the only claim on his site that was, shall we say ,"questionable". I had not noticed the claim before but it definitely does not seem to be grounded in reality. Maybe he is confusing it with the Quidditch cup he won in school that same year as that is equally plausible?
  13. I had serious reservations about other crowdfunders and never invested. It is a pity if any of the activity surrounding a now former manufacturerer.affects Cavalex. The Cavalex method is different. Much of the work is done before any money is required from anyone. When money is requested the project is well advanced. Coupled with open and frequent updates it is a simple process. Finally I trust the guys involved and they have shown what they can do with the PGA. I am really looking forward to the BBA.

There are a lot of questions outstanding especially regarding the accounts and where the money went. That is why my sympathies lie only with the crowdfunders at this point. The Companies House filings are not very detailed but looking at what Ravenser set out above there does seem to be a discrepancy in there some where. There is also no evidence Dave invested substantial sums into this. He may have said he re-mortgaged his house but he said a lot of things. We do not know the facts and Dave was a bit fast and lose with them.
  15. There is an address in the Companies Office filings 5 Dyson Hall Drive Liverpool L9 7HA But it was changed thus week to the office in Manchester so probably not relevant anymore.
  16. Definitely do that ASAP because it could easily be taken down and replaced by a notice. If receivership occurs the website will become the property of the receiver and will probably just be a holding page with a notice.

Thanks. I could not add it to earlier threads as they were locked but I do feel this is relevant.
  19. Thar company is another one in serious trouble. Companies are not registered there unless it is doom and gloom. People are in serious denial. DJM is in serious trouble. This is a place where companies go to die.
  20. The specific address is a restructuring/liquidator. What other companies in the building do is unfortunately not relevant. However it is does not mean it is all over but at this stage the doctor is looking for a pulse.

I posted this on the class 92 thread but I think it is of wider significance: The registered office of DJM was changed this morning: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08601496/filing-history The new address belongs to a company that is involved in re-structuring and liquidation. https://cg-recovery.com
  22. I see the registered office of DJM was changed this morning: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08601496/filing-history The new address is that of a company that specialises in company restructuring and liquidations. https://cg-recovery.com/ It does not look good.
  23. Thanks Grimleygrid I will be going for the Total version. Just have to figure out how many to get
  24. i think opening them up is easy enough and may have been described earlier in this thread. I also seem to remember reading somewhere on RMweb (on the Waverly layout thread perhaps) that the first class interior is the wrong way around so you can swap it into the correct position.
