  1. Hi All.

I bought this as is and really don't know what caused it to happen!

Just wondering if any electronics expert could tell me what is needed to repair it?

I'm led to believe they're resistors but what values would they be?

Four out of the six circuits work fine, the other one has a different problem!

I've tried to contact Tam valley but no answer!

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Hi Neil.

Thanks for the Info, I have used EKM before and forgot about them, I have a pair of Bachmann steps but they're different from the Hornby ones, looks like I'll have to try and adapt them!

I've been told the Hornby steps don't come as a spare and was hoping someone had some laying around.

    Anyway, thanks again.

    Cheers.

  4. Just a quick follow up on the frog juicer!

I have several DCC 80's and although they work well on standard points, they don't seem to like four/six coupled tank locos traversing 3 way points!

I bit the bullet and bought a Frog1 from Blocksignalling and they are brilliant!  I can now run my H class and P class tanks at really low speeds without any hint of stalling!

I know they're twice the price of an DCC80 but All in all a great bit of kit.

    Cheers.

  5. I use an old H&M Flyer or a Rocket purely for testing and running in loco's prior to fitting decoders !    To date I've had no probs with modern motors, but now I'm a bit dubious whether I should use them.

Any thoughts on these older controllers ?

    Cheers.  Del.
