  1. Hey Simon,

How’s it going mate, I hope alls well.

I like the effect you’ve got going on with the streaking down the sides of the wagons, must have taken you awhile. Worth the effort though by the looks of it.

    Speak soon mate,

  2. Morning Kev,

Likewise, and thanks again. Had a great time and some good conversations, regarding one of your questions.

I found something intresting you may like to take a look at. It's regarding our brief chat about "Crewe cuts"

On Class47.com site, photo of the day, there is a picture of 47 452 15th of October 1986 with both ends cut. There may be the odd one from an earlier year, I'm sure someone will know. So yeah, to answer the question, about 30 years.

    Regards,

    Dave.

  3. Hello Kevin.

Thanks for your advice and for the invitation, much appreciated on both counts. I do like RFD liveried locos, especially the 47s, I have/had a couple made up already, 47289 and 47317 (got damaged and had to send it off to be redone) I do have a few of my locos up on (Bescotbeast)Simon Barnes's Pendeford Sidings layout if your interested, they would fit your running period intrest well.

I live between Alton and Guildford, along the A31. Alton Models being my local, if that's anywhere near you.

    Kind regards,

    Dave.

  4. Hi Pete how many pictures do you have of 47's? - in particular Tinsleys distribution  47 156 -  another repaint this one started as inter-city swallow liveried "Fire Fly", somehow I managed to end up with two when they first came out!

    Thanks Kevin.

    Hello,

Brilliant layout and perfect era, been following with great intrest. You've done a great job with your layout.

I do like your re-spray, it's a really nice job you've done on it. I also have a spare Fire Fly knocking about, I may take

inspiration from yours to get mine done.

    Keep up the good work,

    All the best,

    Dave.

  5. Hello Terry,

Iv been catching up on your thread/YouTube again.

I hope you managed to get into a new job and it's going well on top of your house move, again I hope it went through okay, if you did mange to move.

I guess I'm just curious now to see if your looking at a bit of a reboot into modelling again. I hope you do mate, both your layouts were awesome, and I'm sure there's a lot of people on here and on the tube that would like to see you back on. Hopefully we will see you back up and running soon.

All the best and good luck with all things to come,

    Dave.

  6. Hey mate,

That's not bad. (I'd of peed myself, and had tea withdrawal symptoms going that long without a break)

The layout does have a good sense of depth to it. Its not over the top with detail either. I'll have to try and get over to see it one day.

(I'll sneak in an obligatory class 47, just so happens I have BR blue 47148)

I'm sure the resulting video you create will be worth the wait, as they always are.

    Speak soon mate.

    Dave.

  7. Hey Mark,

Good to see you again the other day and I hope you got back home in good time.

As you know I'm not a big fan of mobile kettles, but, from the pics you have up of the new layout so far,

I like the detail and the look of the layout, I hope there will be more pics to come.

Looking forwards to seeing your next video and good luck with your open days.

Take care and will no doubte see you soon mate.

    Dave.
