  1. Hi Juian Thanks for that I have run two loco's in consist with differant address as one unit, I think you have sorted my problem out many Thanks
  2. I run two car dmu loco's with the same address in the driving loco and trailing car to run the coach and directional lights, this works ok with railcom turned off,and will not with it turned on the ESU ECoS will not let me run two decoders of the same address. The problem is I run my layout with RR&CO and the new V5 loksound decoders will not work with railcom turned off via RR&CO? the problem only came to light when I had a new loco with v5 decoder.
  3. I set up a new loco in TC (create engine) and this sets the ECoS controller, I do not set up the ECoS and I allways had the RAILCOM and RAILCOM PLUS turned off the answer to your question is no Many Thanks
  4. Hi Andy ( two tone green) and all who help me with this problem, I have now found the answer with all your help Many Thanks the loco is now running with TC and TP programes. If you turn on Railcom the ECoS controller auto detects the loco and loco runs on ECoS controller only you can also turn railcom off and it still runs on the controller only. On the ECoS controller there is anouther switch you must turn on turn RAILCOM on and RAILCOM PLUS on the ECoS controller, with these turned on TC works the loco ok, if you turn off RAilCOM PLUS the loco stops working Many Thanks to all Bryan
  5. I down loaded TP v9 and tried it out on an loksound v4 decoder, did not get on to well with the software but it ran ok so then the loksound v5 decoder TP readed the decoder and the address of the decoder, tried to run it still no joy , tried this a couple of times and with Railcom on still the same, tried another V4 loksound decoder worked again, What I found there are no files for v5 loksound decoders on TP? will this make the differance?
  6. HI I just had a thought you can download TC and run it in demo mode and it works your layout, what if I download TP and run in demo mode to see if I can run the loco on a test track? I should be able to down load the data from the decoder if it works? ( decoder information and loco address)
  7. Hi Andy Many thanks for taking the time to try this for me, I used lok programmer to programe the decoder I chose the long address and changed the address which worked fine and on ESOS controller, Which RR&CO version are you using? I will try again the answer is out there we just need to find it? nice to know V5 decoders will work. many Thanks again
  8. Yes the other loco's have been fitted with loksound v3.5 and v4 decoders they all work ok
  9. Hi Andy I down loaded RR&CO v9 today and tried it in demo mode, layout work but still not that loco, if I upgrade to v9 the extension hardware will come free?? they say in RR&CO price list not available yet tried another loco I can change address ok, they have lokosound v4 decoders I only have the one v5 decoderavailable
  10. Hi Andymsa thanks for getting the loco running on the ECoS controller It is still the same loco, you may have worked that out? I have today down loaded RR&Co v9 and run in demo mode all work ok but for that loco, I live in mid Glamorgan. I have change the address fron two-digit to four-digit (809 adderss) I changed this address a couple to time in case I got it wrong
  11. Hi I have a problem have a loco fitted with a loksound v5 decoder works well on ECoS controller but RR&CO will not talk to the loco I am running firmware Version 8.0 F6 gold and ECoS 4.2.6, any Ideads Please
  12. Thanks to Andymsa and Steve the problem is sorted. I up graded my firmware to 4.2.6 today still did not work, Railcom on the controller has all ways been turned off, when I changed the address on the loco I turned off railcom so I thought I turn it back on ( controller and loco) to my supprise it worked ok, so i thought I try it again with Railcom turned off the loco still worked ok, not sure what happened but it is now working many thanks to all replies
  13. thanks for your replies, I have turned off the Railcom on the decoder and on the ECoS controller this did not work I have tried using different address on the loco incase this was a problem still no go. what will need to be updated the decoder or ECoS controller or Both??
  14. Have anybody had this problem with loksound v5 decoder? the problem is I cannot get it to work with ESU ECoS controller? the decoder I programed on ESU loco programer and laptop works fine on test track, put on the main layout controlled with ECoS will not work, is this a CV problem or a problem with the decoder?
  15. I found megapoint controller are great bit of kit, What I found was the signals and points worked by servo`s work perfect when the DCC power turned off, when DCC turned on there was a problem when running trains that the servo jiggers and twitchs, caused derailments and damaged my signals. I had to rewire all the servo's with screened cat 5e cable and this stoped all my problems I have cable runs of about 7mt long along with the DCC cables. This shows to me that the DCC power is being induced into the signal wires of the servo's and this is the problem causing the twitch.
  16. I just started to look for signal parts, and i was not sure that they were made? Wizard Models./Model Signal Engineering site.had all the parts, it would be more helpfull if there was a picture of the parts next to the discription
  17. at last I have found an answer of sorts that works for me, on the ECoS controller donot use the three way point, look as it they are two separate points, on the RR&Co programe you can use the 3 way icon this works ok to operate the point it works the leading soienoid first for centre track then the second soienoid for right track for the left track both soienoid work,( the second one just before the first one) so you will have to turn up the time on the ECoS controller to take this int acount. gwrcollet
  18. the track is peco code 100 3 way point I am using esu ECoS 5200 controller linked to RR & Co software. regards gwrcollet
  19. Hi I have a problem with a peco 3 way point? it has 2 point soienoids to control the point, I have looked to see if others have had the same problem,? the only answer i can find is to class the point as two seperate points?? and interlock the movements? Kind regards gwrcollet
