  1. I've neglected my 409 recently because of work so I brought her out to play again 🤠
  2. The 3 pics below are all from the same small diorama lol 🤷‍♀️
  3. Had to be careful while hiding behind the bushes for this shot. 199 mph passing TGV's literally blow me away 😬
  4. After taking around an 18 year break...I have accumulated a fair number of model trains since coming back to the hobby at the tail end of 2021. Don't have much British OO gauge as I mostly model modern image European HO scale. Anyways...here's my Princess Royal Class 6205
  5. Yes Fran! I quite like this odd looking TGV! 😅😅😅
  6. Hey guys, I made a trailer for my Accurascale 37 409 on my small diorama! Hope you enjoy!
  7. Just thought I'd share a pic of my 2 tractors! Thanks @Accurascale Fran @McC @Accurascale lol. Beautiful bloody loco and astonishing sound! 😅
  8. Greetings all. So earlier this year I built myself a small diorama loosely based on French high speed lines. It was important to me from the get-go that this would be semi-modular as my sole purpose for it to exist was to take nice pictures of trains on it from different eras. This diorama was to be so diverse...that I also planned to use it to model scenes from multiple different countries! Through the power of photographic trickery and careful(ish) placement...I attempted to make this work. Whether I succeeded or not is another matter lol French high speed lines in the countryside generally don't have the most amazing, exciting scenery which is a big bonus for me cause I mostly suck and don't have the patience for super high quality modelling....I'm probably not even half as talented as you guys/gals for such delicate, intricate work. The main focus for me was the final images and the trains themselves are the stars of the show. BTW....I'm a HUGE high speed train fanboy, especially TGV's! Can't make any excuses for it lol but I do really appreciate other types of trains which I've accumulated literally just over the last 6 months, which you'll see in my images below. My wallet loathes this hobby. I didn't document much of the building process so don't have many pictures to share apart from these: The other benefit of having a fairly sparse diorama is so I can easily swap out buildings, trees, etc. Even the catenary is easy to swap out! Wohoooo! Anyways....here's some pictures of the "final" result: Cuthbert 80
  9. You can buy them on ebay too! Look for a seller called udiow 😃
  10. As an update...just thought I'd share a few pics of my ermmm..."diorama". I'm almost half way there and even though I'll be adding catenary (from Viessmann)...it's important that I have the option to remove the overhead wires at will. This is so I can take pictures of my diesel and steam locomotives...as well as my beloved bullet trains lol This "diorama" won't win any awards for being the most highly detailed partially because I'm nowhere near as skilled as you guys but at the same time...because this small set-up is based on French high speed lines (complete with Bibloc track from PECO)...real life high speed railway lines in France don't exactly have magical scenery lol Anyways...this is what it's looking like so far
  11. @Kevin JohnsonI appreciate that buddy, thanks so much. The colour scheme you mention of this class 66 is almost the sole reason why I own it. Basically...it's like a small group of vampires hijacked and killed all previous railway staff who owned this locomotive...then decided to paint all of their current fleet in black while tagging their logo in graffiti ('Rush Rail) on the sides of every train they possess. This is the ONLY reason why I own this 'Rush Rail' class 66. I'm a bullet train fanboy at heart!
  12. @Andrew Dthank you so much mate So this is HO scale. Will get a few snaps of the diorama as a work in progress when I get a chance but it's practically empty at the moment with just double track glued with ballast on a sub-standard plywood baseboard lol I've been sat here twiddling my thumbs for weeks waiting for Royal Mail to post a ton of stuff that I ordered for my mini 'layout' but the delays (prolly mostly from C*vid staff shortages) continue
