Good morning everyone A bright sunny start to the day here in the northwest corner of England. I normally drop Sheila off at her Zumba class on a Thursday, but today we’re off to the Christie for my post blood test consultation. The appointment is for 12 o’clock, so there wouldn’t have been enough time for her to do her class, get home, shower and change before then, so no class for her today. My consultations are normally on a Wednesday, but for some reason it’s a Thursday this time. Hopefully we’ll be back in time for a late dinner before Charlie gets here for his afternoon model making session. At my interview for the roll I took in 1990, I worked for this company until I retired in 2017, I was asked what my thoughts were on planned maintenance? My answer was I thought it was essential, if breakdowns were to be kept to a minimum. I was then asked to explain my answer. I simply said, that only a fool would drive about in a car without maintaining the brakes or engine, that was just asking for trouble and even possible costly repairs. Back later. Brian

Good morning everyone Well the overnight wind and rain has stopped and we have some sunshine at the moment. The plan for today is to do not a lot, my back pain has gone completely, but I’ve decided to have another rest day as a precaution. Good evening everyone Shopping has been shopped and the cupboards are now full, so full that they are positively groaning! As for the weather, well we’ve had a very mixed bag, rain, hail, strong winds and sunshine, sometimes 2 different at the same time. It’s currently blowing a bit at the moment, not quite a hoolie but it ain’t half making a racket and it’s raining too. Thankfully my back is now feeling much better, the aches have gone, but to be on the safe side, I’m going to have another rest tomorrow.

Good morning everyone A dull, wet and windy day here and that’s just outside! My back was having a bit of a protest yesterday, so I’ve decided to take it easy today. So, my first task will be to complete the Sainsbury’s Grand Prix this morning instead of this evening after tea. There’s also a chance of another Waitrose visit after dinner, as there’s a couple of times we get there, that can’t get locally. Back later. Brian

Good evening everyone I just couldn’t seem to find the time to post this morning, busy outside in the garden and sorting out the house plants for Sheila. This evening, we met up with all the family at our favourite Indian restaurant for a much welcome and deserved meal. As always, the food way excellent, but the company even better. Just before we left, I booked a table for us all in June, I’m counting down the days already.

Good morning everyone A dull, grey and wet start to the day here in England’s northwest corner, so definitely nothing going on outside! I’ll shortly be setting off to collect Sheila’s prescription from the pharmacy and then I’ll go and collect Ava, who will be assisting me in making some rhubarb and strawberry jam. The kitchen and most of the house will have that warm, sweet aroma of homemade jam for most of the day after that. Back later. Brian
