  1. Good morning everyone I’m very confused at the moment, the reason is that sun is shining and the sky is blue, when the forecast was for grey skies and rain. So, I’m not sure what the plans are for today. I guess I’ll have to wait until the boss has made up her mind. Back later. Brian
  2. Bungle In The Jungle - Jethro Tull
  3. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack
  4. Cut The Cake - The Average White Band
  5. Good morning everyone Well the overnight wind and rain has stopped and we have some sunshine at the moment. The plan for today is to do not a lot, my back pain has gone completely, but I’ve decided to have another rest day as a precaution. But as I’m not one for sitting about doing nothing, I’ll probably look at doing something on the computer for the layout etc. Back later. Brian
  6. Close To You - The Carpenters
  7. Good evening everyone Shopping has been shopped and the cupboards are now full, so full that they are positively groaning! As for the weather, well we’ve had a very mixed bag, rain, hail, strong winds and sunshine, sometimes 2 different at the same time. It’s currently blowing a bit at the moment, not quite a hoolie but it ain’t half making a racket and it’s raining too. Thankfully my back is now feeling much better, the aches have gone, but to be on the safe side, I’m going to have another rest tomorrow.
  8. Nights In White Satin - The Moody Blues
  9. Good morning everyone A dull, wet and windy day here and that’s just outside! My back was having a bit of a protest yesterday, so I’ve decided to take it easy today. So, my first task will be to complete the Sainsbury’s Grand Prix this morning instead of this evening after tea. There’s also a chance of another Waitrose visit after dinner, as there’s a couple of times we get there, that can’t get locally. Back later. Brian
  10. Good evening everyone I just couldn’t seem to find the time to post this morning, busy outside in the garden and sorting out the house plants for Sheila. This evening, we met up with all the family at our favourite Indian restaurant for a much welcome and deserved meal. As always, the food way excellent, but the company even better. Just before we left, I booked a table for us all in June, I’m counting down the days already.
  11. Feel Like Making L0ve - Bad Company
  12. Getting Better - The Beatles
  13. Handsome Cabin Boy - Kate Bush
  14. The Long Way - Dan Fogelberg
  15. Good morning everyone A dull, grey and wet start to the day here in England’s northwest corner, so definitely nothing going on outside! I’ll shortly be setting off to collect Sheila’s prescription from the pharmacy and then I’ll go and collect Ava, who will be assisting me in making some rhubarb and strawberry jam. The kitchen and most of the house will have that warm, sweet aroma of homemade jam for most of the day after that. Back later. Brian
  16. Good evening everyone Like yesterday, the weather remained fine, in fact I didn’t need to wear a jacket today, although Sheila still wore her coat! Anyway, the items we went to collect were picked up, so that’s Ava’s and Evie’s birthday and Christmas presents sorted! This afternoon I sat at the table and with the aid of a pencil, some paper and an eraser, I pondered the switching and wiring arrangements for the 3 way point. My final design uses, apart from some cable, just 3 items, 2 micro switches for changing the crossing vee polarity and a Double Pole, ON/OFF/ON switch for operation. The point will be operated using 2 mini servo’s mounted below the baseboard, the 2 micro switches will be mounted on the servo brackets, 1 on each servo and will be operated by the servo arms. Hopefully, the drawings below will make it all clearer. First the point and crossing vees The the operating switch
  17. Psycho Killer - Talking Heads
  18. Good morning everyone It looks like it’s about to start raining soon, I hope it holds off until I’ve been to the butchers! After that, WE are going to the Trafford Centre to pick up some click and collect items, these will be birthday and Christmas presents for the girls! This trip will no doubt take up the rest of he morning! After dinner, the rest of the day is mine, so a little scribbling with pencil and paper to work out the electrical circuit diagram for the 3 way point will be done. Back later. Brian
