66745 up front (66797 banking)
I think there must have been a power issue with the loco as at one point about 1/2 way up we were down to 5mph, thankfully we kept moving but it took almost 30 mins to cover the 2 mile climb, I’ve reported it and tomorrow should see a loco swap to see if it was indeed a loco issue, I also had issues at penyffordd where I almost came to a stand in an area where a loco hauling 2400 tons would normally be doing 10-15 mph!
That reminds me of an incident whilst photographing an EWS 66 banking another on a coal train up the Lickey some years ago. I was at Vigo bridge half way up the incline and everything ground to a halt. Neither loco looked in distress and nothing went bang, but I thought this could develop into something good if another banking loco or assistance was required. Sadly after about 10 minutes both locos gave it the beans and the train went on its merry way.

Thank you to the organisers and exhibitors for my first Perth show today. It was well worth the 2.5 hour drive to get there. The wallet tool a battering, but since its only my second show in a year, i thought the wife wouldn't mind.

For any that follow on the web cams. I usually keep the 6 cameras up to date via this useful website, so I can watch from afar.
Head here to view all 6 cameras on the same screen.
Severn Valley Railway 6 cameras
Just a note that several of the camaras frequently have to be rebooted which makes their youtube link defunked, and I then have to create another mashup.
