There are 2 versions available 378-028 and 378-028A ... I must have the 'A' version.

I wasn't bothered which as mine will belong to the ScR ... I assume Perth Yard but I can't see the markings on the one photographed in the yard at Ton-na-Faire, Fort William.

    Regards,

    Ian.

Thanks for that Ian, looks like I will get 2 then!

  3. I worked with a guy 30 odd years ago, he was on a night shift 22.00-06.00 at Andover, the Station manager from Salisbury rocked up at Andover in the early hours but he was nowhere to be found, so the S.M drove to his house and knocked the door. The guilty party eventually opened the door in his dressing gown and invited the manager inside. The manager was shocked to see B.R carpet in the hall, a B.R mirror on the wall and the kitchen was kitted out with B.R soap dispenser, roller towel and was served a cup of tea in a travellers fare mug from the set of them on the counter top! When the manager said you know why I am here don't you? He slipped the form across the table to which my colleague asked is that a form one? That it is said the manager, the reply came back said well you can only issue that at the end of my shift. The manager said what does that mean? My colleague said I'm not due off until 06.00, its now 02.00 so come back in 4 hours! I believe he got away with it on a technicality.

Hi nearly, the baseplate that holds the buffers and tank mouldings differ to suit the prototype but the mechanics same, lighting bits differ to suit prototype.

If you remove bogies and swap base plates and resolder light rigs you could do a change, but the question is why ?

Hi Robert, was just an idea for a dummy, 33 bodyshell. Have just got back into N from O after 20 odd years and dont believe Dapol made a dummy 33

  5. I used to shunt this train at Andover, it would often arrive earlier than booked and wake me up! became a nightmare when it switched from ukf/kemira palvans to cargowaggons due to the curvature of the siding used at that time, there were a few bangs into the stop blocks in the early hours! There was a shunter there god rest his soul that would often say the groundframe detection had gone and send the lot through to gillingham, I would then have to shunt the ludgershall MOD train into the yard  quickly when they sent the Andover portion back up to Andover about 08.30!

  7. In the Dapol collectors club newsletter it suggests the O gauge club special this year (2019) will be 1401 - order form 'to follow'.  Any club models remaining after 12 months (2020) will sold to the public at normal MRP. Normally club specials follow on from a normal production run, so 2019 looking good for the announced models.

does it say what livery it will be in? thanks
