Impressive - what are you doing about the bogies
Paul R
At the moment they will do, but I will be looking to make a more prototypical side frame, and cast resin ones from that.
Obviously the front steps and coupler will have to be removed, as they are in the way of the front and rear skirt positions.
Bits will be re-positioned as needed.
Also toying with swapping the coarse wheels for finer scale ones, but we will see how it runs first.

Hi Paul,
Been following this with keen interest.
Sorry to hear you have had to stop, but your health is number 1, above all else.
Hopefully all turns out OK for you in the near future.
I have sent you a PM.
Regards,
RL

Ha, yes they are.
I had run out of grey primer, but found this one from an older project.
They will match the rest of the loco, once I find the Allen key to remove the wheels, its not in the safe place I left it.

Hello one and all,
I am relatively new to 7mm modelling, with the Hatchette Flying Scotsman being the only full kit I have attempted, and that’s not completed yet (pictures to follow later).
The purchase of the Dapol 08 really gave my interest in 7mm a boost, such a lovely model for a great price, and RTR.
An impending house move has inspired me to start documenting my progress into the new and wonderful world that 7mm seems to offer.
With plans to build a shed and a garden railway to run my new stock on, with permission from my better half and daughter already granted thankfully, I will have threads for these as they happen (probably a year from now).
In the meantime, my workbench will be kept busy with a few kits and modifications, for both Irish and British outline.
Hopefully I can keep everyone entertained with my progress.
Comments and tips will be welcomed.
Regards,
RL

Good to hear you are getting back on track Paul.
Its been a bit of a rollercoaster for you.
I'm kit #12, but not rushing you to have it finished.
Plenty to do on other items like working on detailing APT-e and APT-p for a display cabinet, along with your fine kit.
Regards,
Seán.
