The Class 66 - 371-379 was produced in 2006.
Just for info.

I hope the front jumpers are correct on the ones being produced....... Would be weird otherwise as the other loco with Kernow only has one jumper!

Any update on these... been a year since any update.

Some good announcements but ALL loco centric, where are the coaches (and wagons) that will be needed - these are surely a basic requirement - certainly Blue/Grey and Maroon for Mk1s and Blue/Grey and Virgin for Mk2s.
It is almost impossible to build coach rakes as a BG appears then six month later a BSK then a SK etc... Why not produce a complete batch in one livery at one time (and multiple SK/SO variants) so rakes can be built. It seems that nothing is every learnt and the same number of Brakes or Buffet coaches are produced as 2nd Opens/Corridors.
Hopefully a big pile of coaches will arrive in the Winter annoucement....

Bump... As per the several comments above on the same subject? I asked the GM stand staff at the Glasgow show back in Feb, but no one knew what the hold up was, or why.
I'd be very grateful if anyone out there could advise as to whether or not they will eventually appear. Odd that it's only this one that hasn't arrived.
Thanks.
I asked Gaugemaster and was told was waiting for a production slot..... that could be a wait as no new 73s been announced by Dapol.....

Hi All,
I hope to get a Carmine & Cream set in Glasgow as well. I wonder if they will be charging the full retail price?
It will be great to catch up with friends again.
Cheers,
Ged.
I was hoping to get to Glasgow but am at another show... AMRSS website says £295... Hopefully they have some left over for sale.

Hi HighPeak45,
Hopefully I pulled the numbers from the wagons and not from the boxes.. 320013 and 320036 appeared in my tripple pack.

Shame that a new batch of coach numbers were not feasible, in the modern technology this is a small change and the delay on something that was not expected or announced I am sure would have been resonable - The manufacturers do this all the time.
I am sure a few more sets would have been sold.

Hopefully that means my packs are almost here as my order number is in the 620’s. Website stills shows my order as processing.I thought I had ordered early on but evidently not by the order number.
Looking forward to these anyway.

I got 20 or so orders ahead of mine! I will keep an eye out for the postie next week.
Although weirdly mine says completed in 14 Jan 2019 so not really sure what that means.

They are Stunning.
Just for my records and so I can update Ngauge.Org - did you produce 3 running numbers (I have 6 and have 2 of each number)?
Thanks

my reply from Bachmann yesterday reads, We have sold out of the initial consignment of these however are expecting a further delivery later this week
Phew - I thought shifting 504 in a week was some going!

You must have been dreaming Joseph! Can't blame you though--there's not much to get excited about in N these days, or is it just me?
Now they have arrived - its going to get expensive..... so much due out.
-
Wow.. they kept that one quiet.....Shame they don't do the RTC Peak Ixion... to go with it.

As I model some very odd H0 gauge the shop I haven't yet got to is Modelljärnvägsspecialisten Tåg & Hobby in luleå Northern Sweden. I have found realy good shops in Stockholm and Gothernburg.

I cannot agree any more - I ordered a NCE Powercab and arrived the next day - caught me out as expected a few days wait so had to wait until Sunday to pick up from the sorting office!
Great service - hope to use again.

I know that before Bachmann ruined, sorry I mean reorganised their website, I think it said that they would be out in May next year.
If you go to the Products Menu then Availability you can search for items (obvious warning about it being a guide!)..

When i spoke to Dave on the scanning day he confirmed the low numbers for the N version but also indicated they had picked up since the confirmation of the OO version. He plans to run it up to Christmas at this stage to see if the situation improves enough.
Hopefully Dave will clarify if this is "holding out" for the current selection of units or the proposed revised units which can be built into a full 14-car set? The latter seemed to gain some interest in the group here and could be a more viable option.

I am in too.......
I'd be in on that basis
-
Dave,
I can see why, would be my first choice and gives options to cut back to shorter units (now or later)...
Choice is great but in the N Gauge Market can be a luxury as orders can be diluted across the options to the extent none are viable.
What do you beleive are the viable options? A cut-down "less featured" 14-car and 7-Car set? One Yellow Front and One Black Front?

Tony
hi mate,
not so sure as the highest orders were for 14 car sets.
cheers

I feel there is actually nothing to compare this against - we are using the Revolution Pendolino as the nearest benchmark but this was started 2-3 years ago based on a much larger number of units/prototypes/liveries etc.
It would be interesting to see the price if the project was started now of an 11-car pendo based on a much smaller (100?) run - I suspect it would be way above the current price, Farish and Dapol N Gauge prices have jumped over 20% in the last few years so I expect a similar jump in price (if not more based on small volumes) as most of the reasoning for the rise is the increase in costs in China and Shipping etc.
The only way we will find out is establish a new baseline design/specification/livery/car numbers and refloat it, I feel that in the right format with a revised price it may run, will certainly ease my ordering!
Just my thoughts
