Looks like the 755 is coming on really nicely! Hopefully it's been spotted that the pantograph is the wrong way around - it shouldn't be overhanging the corridor connection! Great to see all of the other details though.

I wonder how interest is gauged generally without a survey? For example, how were the liveries chosen that are going ahead? There must be some method to it (though I am just being curious, not necessarily expecting anyone to answer). Would be interesting to see a poll with all possible liveries and see which people would be most likely to order. I wonder how much more popular the chosen liveries are more than FNW. For me, I would really like to see the FNW ones as they're the only ones that fit into my time frame and geographical area of modelling. But I did fill in the expression of interest form and it's up to Revolution to choose if they believe it to be viable or not (which sadly sounds unlikely for now).

Fantastic news! There really aren't too many RTR commuter style trains available to WCML modellers of this era. Obviously some good DMU models out there, but for EMUs, there's only really the Bachmann 350, and that hasn't been produced for a while now. The spec sounds really impressive, similar to the Bachmann 158. My only niggle is the posable pantograph... I'm not too fussed it's not motorised (though this would be nice) but I do hope it is sprung so I can use it against Peco OLE. Not 100% sure if it means posable as either down or up, or whether it's sprung. Something like the Bachmann 350 would be good - at least it can be used on OLE. Great stuff Dapol - a bold move that I hope will prove fruitful.

These look great Mike, thanks for sharing the pics. If I recall correctly, one of your updates said there were two different locating pins so you could couple the intermediate wagons closer or further apart as required. Presumably the above is the "further apart"? Lovely stuff!

I've just received my first Accurascale class 37 and it really is a fantastic model. Looks, feels and sounds amazing! I've got an Accurascale class 92 which I was already very impressed with, but the bogie relief on the 37 is leagues ahead (the bogies on the 92 had a lot of solid plastic where I believe there should be daylight). Shows a staggering rate of progress from Accurascale from what was already a brilliant loco with the 92. Well done Accurascale once more on an 11/10 product!

I more meant people that aren't such avid model railway fans... those who don't buy mags, use forums and go to model railway exhibitions. I know people who work in the rail industry, for example, who are occasional purchasers of model railway items because of the connection to their job and are aware of the likes of Bachmann, Heljan, Accurascale, Hornby, but have not heard of Revolution, Realtrack, Rapido and some of the other smaller manufacturers. Take for example Accurascale and Hornby - they are always posting on social media and I think that brings attention. Certainly didn't mean to cause offence, but I could perhaps have explained my point of view better (and it is only my opinion after all, so you're welcome to disregard it)!

Hi Mike, I do find that Revolution Trains models are often well-hidden gems. I wonder if a lot of potential customers aren't even aware of the brand. Advertising for things like expressions of interest, early bird prices etc. often seems quite limited and I find myself having to keep an eye on rmweb forum a lot for updates on these things. It makes me think if the word was spread more about your fantastic models (such as on social media), whether you would get more response when it comes to things like expressions of interest and ultimately better sales. This is just my opinion when thinking about the level of broadcasting I see from other manufacturers. For me personally, I would just be after FNW class 175s so if these don't go ahead, I won't be looking to purchase any other liveries that do get the green light. Hopefully you find this constructive- I realise RT is a very small business compared to many others so it's easier said than done I guess

Was really looking forward to ordering some FNW 175s, but I've seen they're only up for expression of interest, so I've done that instead. Just a couple of observations and queries... On the news article on the Revolution website, it asks for expressions of interest for the currently non-orderable liveries by 31st August, but when you click on the link to provide the expression of interest, it says submissions must be by 31st July Expression of interest page doesn't let you differentiate between 2 and 3 car class 175s. Might not be that important, but for ref., I'd like 2 x 2-car 175s and 1 x 3-car 175, all in FNW Because the expression of interest for the non-orderable liveries doesn't close until after the early bird discount period for the other liveries, if any of the currently non-orderable liveries goes ahead, will they only be available at the full price and not with the early bird discount? Finger's crossed the FNW 175s get the go-ahead - surprised they've not been too popular in N. All the best with the model!

Those Rapido ones look epic underneath, but I would question 'why?'. Personally I'm not bothered with my models how they look on the bottom as long as the underframe detail is decent side-on. You would've thought that level of detail underneath must cost in terms of labour and parts. I would rather less underneath if it reduced the retail prices. Very nice 'though, no doubt...

FYI Ben - your website shows the early bird price ending 13th June (on the news page for the announcement of the OO Gauge Cartic order book opening). Got my order in early just in case that's not right. Would also back additional packs with different wagon numbers as per some others have requested. Appreciate that there's 2 x different numbers per version which is a good start 👍 Thanks!

Great to see the order books open for these, thanks Mike, Ben and team. Can I ask - with the Silcock versions with roofs, are the roofs raisable (like the real thing) or even completely removable so that you can put cars on the top deck? Appreciate with the side screens, you won't see a lot of a car, but would be good to know. Thanks :)

Hi Ben, Mike and team, Have you ever considered doing the Pendo in OO gauge? Just curious as your N gauge offering is so much more advanced than Hornby's OO equivalent despite being half the size. The Hornby model doesn't even have an interior and I don't think Hornby has even done half of the livery variations possible. As the fleet gets older and goes through more liveries, I would have thought there could be a space for a high-spec OO model... Thanks in advance, Dave.
