  1. The music (MEDITAÇAO ( A.C.JOBIM )) is by the Spanish Sant Andreu jazz band, Dirección Joan Chamorro. The baritone sax is played by Alba Estefan, the singer is Alba Armangou: Regards Fred
  2. Some French tinplate toy train cars in 0 gauge made by GMP (Gilardi, Mouraux, and Pottier) and BLZ (Bourdeau, Lheurre and Zedda) in the fifties pulled by a ACO (Atelier de Chateau d'Eau) 2-6-0 SNCF 130B locomotive from the eighties that I made last year from an old kit Regards Fred
  3. There were, but not during the whole period of the Night Ferry, also sleeping cars that went from London via Dover, Dunkerque and Lille to Brussel and also for a short period to Basel. This video shows these connecting trains to Basel and Brussel i n 0 gauge in my garden. Regards Fred
  4. The Dutch HSM railway company used names instead of number s for their locomotives. They ordered some tank locomotives from Borsig (Berlin) in 1874 with the names Thetis (mother of Achilles) and Ulysses. See the manufacturers photo of Thesis: Not all Germans know the classics 😉. Regards Fred
  5. MTH made the GP20 also in 2-rail, but almost 30 year ago, so I do not know how it compares to recent products. https://mthtrains.com/20-2140-2 Regards Fred
  6. Not real Brazilans; Joan Chamorro ( Sant Andreu Jazz Band) from Barcelona, Spain with singers Magalí Datzira · Rita Payés · Andrea Motis · Eva Fernández. Regards Fred
  7. RiavRossi did not make the NORD Atlantic. A plastic version of the NORD Atlantic in H0 was issued by Altaya in an Orient Express train set. It is shown here in a video I made on NORD locomotives: Regards Fred
  8. Hi Dave, I see no loco at 3mins15 (That is the end of the video); at 2:30 there is a Nord Chapelon Pacific by Roco. As far as I know there was never a Nord Atlantic called Super Atlantic; there was a Nord Super Pacific. Both the Atlantic and Super Pacific were modelled by Fulgurex, also in 0 gauge as far as I remember. Regards Fred
  9. The only de-Luxe expresses connecting with Ocean steamers on the European continent were the French "Trains Transatlantiques" from Paris to Cherbourg and Le Havre. From 1931 until WWII the Transatlantiques were equipped with green/turquoise coloured "voitures-salons" of the ETAT railway with superb CIWL service. Models of these green/turquoise cars were made in H0 gauge by France Trains. Recently LS Models/Models World also issued these cars. Here is the unboxing of the set I bought: Regards Fred
  10. Running on Hornby Dublo track 😉 Regards Fred
  11. It was common to measure gauge like this, i.e. middle of the railhead, long before Lionel came with their first trains. See my e-book on gauge and scale: http://sncf231e.nl/gauge-and-scale/ Regards Fred
