It looks like the latest batch that did the round trip from China and back (to replace the pcbs) is about to hit the shops.  I hope this includes the GBRf pair and the fiftyfund Glorious too.  Rails have them in stock today and 149 is showing a yellow background nameplate and acceptable shades of grey?

Image of 50149 still shows no Radio Pod on the cab roof  hopefully it's been added.

This could be expensive! I’d go for a 175 as while strictly not a WCML unit, they do run from Wales to Birmingham and Crewe. That said the 180 goes nowhere near the WCML and I would be tempted by one of those too…

First North Western had three in use from 2008-2011 (103/106/108) worked in and out of Blackpool, if that's any help.

That sub-sector logo is still looking too large, and the grills aren't exec dar grey, numbers look too large and fuzzy.  But hey the nameplate is now the right colour....

    Also missing NRN roof pods...

A PTA (JTA/JUA) tippler wagon would be much less fraught with detail differences than the different PGA diagrams!

Neither the Rails/Cavalex PGA or the Revolution class 59s are suitable for Peak Forest/Yorkshire Dales workings so I can't justify either for my NW England based modelling. That doesn't explain why I have a 59 on order though....

If it's any help, but probably not for the bank balance! National Power and EWS liveried 59's worked Peak Forest to Manchester Airport stone trains in the mid to late nineties

    Hi,

Dapol Collectors Club 50007 arrived this morning, another of my rather dodgy snaps - sorry:

Comprehensive instruction booklet, roof panel access to control lights for us non-dcc-ers.

    Regards, Gerry.

Shame roof is grey and below rib, otherwise nice.
