Absolute fantastic !
Me, like many other, were fed up of Hornby's lack of decent liveries / releases.....
And this looks to be better than Hornby's version too. I just hope I can afford the 3 i want....

What a monumental error with the lettering and logo in wrong place.
Im gutted.
I think its pretty poor to make such a basic mistake, especially
when your working from photo's.

i would like to see;
50043 in large logo
50030 in revised nse

After reading bits of this topic and looking at pics i see that they do not even have destinaton blinds !
this is poor ! was tempted by the Midline one, not now....

has anyone had a go at re-spraying / painting any containers ?
I have too many Mearsk containers and want some other or some plain ones, after looking at pics
from my main period 1987-1993 ive seen a lot of plain containers, some in a sort of faded red / burgundy.
-
I cant guess what they will announce other than it will likely be mainly from post-2010 and pre-1980 stf....lol
looking forward to this years class 90 and class 117 + 121 + 2HAP.
however - just 1 of the following would make me happy....
class 101 2-car in regional railways
class 81
class 45 flush front
class 302, 303, 304, 309, 310
class 20's in BRT livery.

some good suggestions......
these are mine ;-)
31/4 BR blue with headlight.
31/5 in Dutch
31/1 in Dutch, a namer like 'The Blackcountryman'
56019 in red stripe would be nice
60 in RF Metals (come on Hornby how long does it take)
87 in BR blue with high speed pantograph.
87 in early Intercity.

yes 00 gauge.
and yes i know these ferrywagons are different to the cargowaggons so different tooling required.

Our pleasure!
It was fun having the Fleetline in the hall, and it was a convenient place for us to have meetings.
The designs are not finished yet, but we will be doing several fronts - early indicators, later indicators, and later indicators with no vents. We also intend to do other buses using the chassis and interior of the Fleetline but with new bodies.
It will be a while before these come out. The buses don't actually make us much money - I am doing them because I love them. So we squeeze them in between other production runs. We want to get the Guys out before we properly announce the Fleetlines with all details and samples.

absolutely fantastic news this is. me and my mate have been waiting for a model of this bus for years. and very happy you are doing the latter variants aswell as early, and possibly the similar Park Royal bodywork version to the MCW (?).
I just hope you do all 4 main liveries; origional WMPTE blue & cream, West Midlands Travel blue & cream (80's), west midlands travel grey and blue (approx 1988-1992), and then the final Red stripe version.
There are also many 2nd hand operators who bought these off WMT, some had large fleets such as Andrews of Sheffield, North Western, Merseyline.

good try with the email to Oxford.....but there's no way he's going to bat an eye lid at this, its not in his interests....he's obviously not into trains and if Oxford goes tits up can just get a job elsewhere in sales & marketing.
-
Been hoping for years you would do these after your previous excellent cargowaggons....?
with both VTG and Tiphook livery variants...
-
excellent news that your doing more 86's......however, I was really hoping for some liveries from late 80's / early 90's.
I never got a 86 from your first batch because you simply didnt do any liveries I wanted, or any 86/4's.....
so im hoping you will eventually do 86/2 in early Intercity, and 86/4's in RF distribution, Parcels Red,
and the first version of Intercity (not swallow).

whats happened to 85040 ? i see its not on the list and it didnt arrive with the latest shipment...
-
Does anyone know if the containers are interchangable between the flats ?
as having several 'Mearsk' wagons together will look a bit pants lol.
cheers.
-
im really puzzled (and dissapointed) that they arent doing a 59/0 with an origional Yeoman name.....cant understand at all why theyve chose Alan J blah blah....anyone else thinking this or is it just me ?

Got an email from Hattons today saving August/September for delivery.
October at earliest then...lol

I think a point has been missed.
We used to preorder to lock in price.
In recent years that price hasn’t been honoured as the stock went up in price only to end up discounted back to the pre-order price anyway.
It made more sense to not pre-order and wait for the sale.
All that’s happened is a rebalance, you can safely pre-order knowing that your getting the best price, which will rise after release...
We’ve gone full circle..Until the next time.
The trend now seems to be towards deposits / prepayments.
My only concern is that model only works until a retailer goes pop and the modeller ends up a creditor.
I tired pre-ordering 2 Bachmann locos recently to lock-in what I thought was the price before stock arrived........only to find that twice, with two different shops, both increased the pre-order price a few weeks before stock arrived ! and would not even honour the price (it wasn't just a couple quid either)...so I for one will not pre-order again as the prices seem to increase willy nilly anyway so id rather wait till its in stock and then see if I want to pay the price.

any update of this loco please ? looking forward to it...
-
Only 1 week to go now until Bachmann announce another run of BR Blue split box 37 without skirts (ala 37049), a 40122 (D200) in green, a BR blue 47 with headlight and at long last a sealed beam 45/0 and 45/1 with headlight..... or I can carry on dreaming.
I think another livery 101 (Strathclyde orange or Regi Rail) might be done.
45/0 and 45/1 with headlight....and RR 101....YES PLEASE :-)
