  1. Well… a first for me a smooth and silky running association chassis kit awaiting its motor and pannier body.it went together easily and the gears meshed, maybe just maybe I’m getting the hang of this now- it’s about time!! Best Michael
  2. Afternoon all, modelling has been a little quiet recently, but a house move has given the opportunity of a new play room. so the builders are in today to turn the old brick built wash house into the railway room about 12x 6 ! very excited…. best wishes Michael
  3. Afternoon all, so the B set coaches are getting there, the second bodyshell benefits from the Masterclass chassis which is a real improvement and went together very well including the bogies, so may well take that route on the first body?? still as a novice coach builder I’m very pleased with the results so far ! all best Michael
  4. Afternoon all, Rather a quiet day at work today so a start has been made on Mr Higgs B set coaches. Have to say I’ve rather surprised myself it’s gone together rather nicely…. on to the bogies if I’m not disturbed today! all best michael
  5. Good morning all, Could someone point me I. The right cv direction to disable the f2 brake function and the inertia feature on these decoders please. i can’t work this one out and it would be so useful just to be able to operate these with full control from the handset…. any ideas please I’d be very grateful best wishes michael
  6. As Nigel said this was a very special weekend spent with some super people from the Bala Lake Railway everything a preservation society should be. The layout was so well received and as usual worked brilliantly a credit to Nigel’s craftsmanship. so next stop Aldershot ! happy modelling Michael
  7. We’ve got a very large and real Normandy at the Bluebell Railway and in the shop the slightly smaller new Dapol model, we took the little one to meet its big brother this morning… best Michael
  8. Evening all, the good people of Hallam Town have a seen some redevelopment at the end of the station and the new extension is taking shape, I hope to have it finished in time for its next outing in August at the Bexhill Club Model Railway Exhibition. Heres a couple of pictures as to progress P.S How do you get photos the right way up!!! best Michael
  9. I’ve a question to owners of these little locos, I have one and it’s runs beautifully no complaints at all especially with a decoder and stay alive fitted but a customer bought one from us the other day and came back and said it doesn’t run round 1st radius curves, we exchanged for another and he’s been back saying this one is a bit better but still not very good. Has anybody else had this experience, sounds not quite right to me and I’ve suggested give it a good run in and oil ? anyone got any comments to make. Thanks in advance michael
  10. Hello i was wondering if it’s possible and wouldn’t cause any damage if any additional yellow tantalum capacitors can be bolted/added on to the one fitted to these decoders as I haven’t tried it just wanted to make sure it would be ok???? many thanks in advance michael
  11. Dear all it seems rather loud and rattles a bit so which cv is it to turn the sound down on the Bachmann new 37 Mary Queen of Scots??? Fitted with the zimo ms450p22 ??? thanks in advance michael
  12. Morning all just wanted to close this off by saying all solved and working a treat. really wanted to say if anyone else encounters this that the curly cable I attached and had been sitting in my NCE box for years unused actually had 4 pins and on searching the forums discovered it needed to be 6 pins, changed it over and success! very impressed with this system. it may mention this in the instructions but I couldn’t find it! regards michael
  13. Hello everyone, I’m having a problem getting the DCC concepts digital point motors to talk to the alpha control unit. everything works great the old fashioned way working the points through the power cab handset I just wanted to start using the signal levers they produce , just wondered how others set things up???? any hints greatly received thanks michael
