Yes, wheel centrelines. Are these dimensions on the drawing, or are they just stated.
Dimensions in the title, I need to buy the drawing for better resolution, but first I need to be sure it is what I need.
Thanks.

Thank you. 4 wheeler.
Wheelbase is between axles?

Hello all,
Found in an old book some day salaries and I don't know how to read them.
It is something like painter: 24 s. 4 d.
I assume "s" are shillings but I don't know what "d" are?
Thanks

Hello all,
I need some guidance. I'm searching for a top view (layout) of a sleeping carriage for Orient Express train. I would like to replicate a scene from "Murder in Orient Express".
Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have some idea of the diameter? There may be wooden dowel of about the correct diameter?. You'd need to drill a hole through the centre, and perhaps wrap a piece of thin paper around the circumference.
Alternatively, you could use plastic tube, and make up false ends out of Plasticard. If you want to try this, I've got loads of tubes 25 mm dia x 85mm long: you'd be welcome to them for the postage.
It is around dia.13mm (1 meter in real life).

Hello all,
I would like to make force perspective mini-diorama. Subject will be a street and a narrow gauge will cross it. I would like to have a OO9 locomotive and in the background 1/87 cars and trucks.
Is there any tutorial about force perspective? Is there any calculations that I need to do in regards with distancing the models? Is the any angle that I need to apply to the road?

Calvin as you know I'm a big fan. First you are the only one who is taking the FDM printing to extreme. Second I like your sketches alot.
Is the canal boat resin printed?

@Ian Morgan thank you. Yes UK should be proud of its heriatage.
As I've said for the moment it is easy for me to do UK heritage weekends.
I have in plan Bluebell Railway as first trip.
I've seen in Germany for special ocasions some of the prices are quite expensive.

I would like to add https://www.muttenthalbahn.org/en/welcome-to-the-muttenthalbahn-light-railway to itinerary.

I've decided that from this year I will start to do Heritage Railway Trips in UK and Europe.
I will call the trips adventures and there will be two kinds:
1. Short adventures - they will happen over weekends in UK. Per year I will try to do as many as I can.
2. Long adventures - will be a minimum of 5 days to 14 days in Europe. Per year I will try to do at least two.
The first country that I will like to visit is Germany. My issue is that I'm not able to find any website like http://www.heritage-railways.com/map.php or http://www.heritagerailways.com for Germany.
It will help me a lot to explore. I will start with Wuppertal Suspension Railway but after I don't have any idea what line to visit, has to be something that is in the area.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
I will try to update this topic on a regular basis.

rue_d_etropal nice work.
What software are you using?

Doing a bit of Googling it looks like Barkley was the Turkish representative for Messr's Peto, Betts, and Crampton.
I think Romania was still part of the Ottoman Empire in 1863
It's possible that the architect was someone local.
There is also a Journal article published in 1968 that may help, "British Railway Builders along the Lower Danube 1856 - 1869"
Regards,
John P
Romanian Country wasn't under Ottoman Empire. Dobroja was under Otoman Empire.
I want to make a correction to what I've said, the year when the station was open is 1869.
Could you give me your toughts if the picture is showing redbrick or painted plaster?
-
I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right category but I think this is the one closest to my research.
The first railway station in Bucharest Romania is Filaret Station it was build by the British around 1863 ( J.T Barkley ).
The scope of my small research is to find similar stations in UK.
Bellow image is one of the first images with the station and I think in the purest form. From what can I see my impression is that the facade was red brick with white pillars and details.
I would like to know if you know any similar stations in UK.
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

All, thank you very much for your responses.
Am I correct to conclude that Styrene/HIPS/ABS don't work with any electrical montage?
Wire are one side of the story I do understand that I need to choose correct gauge, but any other electrical circuit that has capacitors or/and power inductors will be a problem because they get hot.
Is there any other material to use to be on the safe side?

The poly cement is flammable because of the solvents it contains. Their job is to turn the surface of the plastic to a liquid so that the two pieces weld together just a welding steel. The solvents are highly volatile hydrocarbons. They evaporate off as the weld sets leaving it no more flammable than the original sheets.
Does it mean that I can run wires and DC electronics without any problems?
