  1. Delighted with the Railtec transfers I've received so far (Grampus / MCV / 'Stone' TOPS). More on the way to New Zealand. Quality product. I will be sending him a load of MCO photo image links in the hope of getting a set this year!

  2. Received a 30 foot 'hills and dales' in sections from them last week - looks great, arrived quickly in NZ. A 'tester' piece is included as well. As noted above, 'tell us what you want' is part of the service.

  3. April 2011's 'The Rail Engineer' includes a three page article called 'Ground-breaking: the Borders' reconnection (pp.16-18), which gives a good overview of the work being undertaken prior to the announcement of the preferred bidder later this year. I hope this becomes a regular feature.

I appreciate that getting hold of the magazine might be an issue (the website is at www.therailengineer.com), but equally I'm sure that it would provide interesting reading ...

This layout changed my entire life, modelling-wise. Flicking back through the two articles in Railway Modeller in the early 1980s, it still does. More is less. Spent ages looking at it at the York exhibition (1982?), and hoping I'd get chance to speak to him in a nervous 14-year old kind of fashion. He was elsewhere.

Shell Island has much the same effect on me - the illusion of space in a very small space, and with Class 24s as well ..... marvelous.
