  1. Its ADB's fault that the 68's and Mk5's have been pulled on TPE then! As we go back to being a multiple unit railway he must be feeling more comfortable. Dare you to say something about Chiltern LOL!
  2. Hoping when it's time for another run, being a kid of the 1980's & 90's 7827 Lydham Manor features in its preserved Great Western Green, Pleeeeeeaaaaaassssseeee! Before it's later stint in Black when Dinmore arrived.
  3. Which had proper names. Could just imagine the do-gooders and politically correct...... Dreadnought - too over powering Superb - too elietist everyone is good at something Temeraire - oh, that's way too assertive...... Only another 47 to go...... Imagine 50013 at London Waterloo, with a Eurostar rolling in from France........
  4. The only problem with double heading Class 37's is not being able to get the sound to errupt on the 'slave' a few seconds after the one being driven. But that's never been done and expect it would require DCC controllers to offer such a function.
  5. Does anyone happen to know if any transfer manufacturer makes the transfers for the Boc Barriers? Cannot find anything on Railtec, Fox etc.. Many thanks in anticipation.
  6. They do look amazing.. I need to get out of hospital to play with mine. The flat floor is so tempting to put an oval of track on! LOL!
  7. Not my photos, but hopefully this illustrates it suitably. Sorry its 29 not 30, which I got muddled up with on the pics on RRRG. Obviously LL numbers are too small for me! Not my photos, but hopefully demonstrating it...... In no particular order normal markers and low. 1st Pic - definitely low....
  8. Based on the popularity and successor their 'OO' Gauge Class 37, then I would say if its Diesel/Weasel, it's a pretty much one horse race...... I don't think that there is an issue with 'duplication' , when you think how many thousand OO class 37' s there was already out there! Unless of course they are worried that they don't have a warehouse large enough to cope with the stock.....
  9. I suppose he has seen the locos in bits as much as anyone. A good call for finer details...... (So have the lower marker lights been incorporated into the tooling suite?)
  10. I also believe that Geoff Hudson and Mike Woodhouse also have involvement with the Fifty Fund/Class 50 Alliance.
  11. Perhaps, but Bachmann has loads of 66731 it's dumped and with the alligations about Sir Captain Tom's charity since his passing, it may not be wholly appropriate. The way to get around it of course, is to go it in his honor as a Collectors piece, perhaps with replicas of his medals and make a donation to NHS Charities directly, from Accurascale and it's customer's in honor of the great man.
  12. Nice collection of DRS stock there fella and thanks for the well wishes. Sure you will have loads of fun with them. Plenty of thrash, but I wanted a heavy load - will send you a picture when I am sorted. Not tried it since but a year or so ago, only a Hattons 66 could move it them up my incline comfortably, but you could tell it was working for it's living for once! Even on incline with wagons on 2nd radius curves. The stock appears to have lots of rolling resistance, to the extent a wagon will not move on my down hill gradient. 8 or 9 PFAs coupled to a wagon can just get one wagon moving down the hill! Pair of Bachmann 37/4's in DRS could shift itit, but singularly no chance even with a run at it, just slip, slip, slip after a few feet!
  13. If its any consolation, mine are at home sitting 'wrapped' in parcel tape as I have ended up in in hospital again. for a few days! Patience is a virtue...... I really want to run my DRS 37/6's with my unprotypical rake of DRS wagons..... It's a rule one, but it will look stunning......
  14. Weren't the 50007 repaint to get Laira incorporated on the GWR 150 Celebrations. At the end of the day in railway terms it's just a loco, with a number which BR could do what they want with. A good few years ago, not Class 50, but a boss of the company I worked for at the time selected a loco to be repainted because it had a large repair, so it made sense to use that and avoid the expense and downtime of operable asset! Being a kid of the time, I was distraught when 50040 became Centurion. But I suppose from a politics point of view, it maintained ties with the navy better and kept BR more current. Especially with the locos working around Plymouth, and the huge amount of Navy staff travelling to Plymouth/Devonport by train, who could possibly notice and possibly may be a little embarrassing especially if a local rag picked it up? Then of course, even the Navy may have asked for such a rededication???? Just a point of view, but maybe BR were much more aware of their business. It's certainly a better name than 'The Carbon Cutter' on a 222 which the legendary Journalist (and EE employee) Mr. Rodger Ford denounced as a pretty useless name, for making one of the most polluting trains, slightly less polluting! I am going to guess that if Accurascale do 50040 it will be as Leviathan.......
  15. Sorry if any of this has been asked before but 2 queries..... Firstly, Sounds for as built - have you been able to get the original 'Hoover' Sound? I take it that only D423 would have such a sound file in run 1? Next one - its a bit anorakie - some of God's Wonderful EE Type 4 Co-Co (just so anyone dont get their hopes up that I could be talking about a 4x) in the same sentence! But some of the classes marker lights are a little lower such as the likes ofRepulse and Illustrious. I take it that this has not been included in the tooling suite? It's subtle, but noticeable. Regardless, still promises to be a superb model that's a valiant and illustrious effort to conqorer the competition. Accurascale have been so courageous an bringing new features to their models! (P.S. Fran, that's how you play on words HAA! HAA! CDA ya soon!)
