Been some time but finally back.
I have been getting on with a load of 009 kits recently when I heard about the Quad-arts coming out of ClarkRailworks and i made me wonder about narrow gauge articulated sets, and I couldn't find any so I decided to make my own using some Dundas Models Ffestiniog bogie coaches, the Jacobs bogie in the center had to be lengthened to accomodate the tight radius of the layouts they will run on

I have recently got into modelling the late 80's and early 90's when i saw a photo of Bachmann's MK1 BG High security in RES livery when i noticed what looked to be tail light on the ends ( I have circled these in a photo.).
In real life are they actual EoT lights or not and if so how would they be operated i.e; power and control from the loco, power from the coach but control from the loco, or full indipendent power and control from the coach?

had my 009 steam engine running on our club layout Gwynedd, hopefully it will be running during our exhibition in March.

now that the plaster has dried I've painted it with some Woodland Senics ground paint and got the first lot of ballast down and glued next week will be some ground scatter and/or static grass and a gravel effect path away from the platform.

Decided to test the track the other week using a Class 15 and a Zen Black Decoder and it ran perfectly.

I've started to slowly fitted all my locos with Zen Blacks and found them to be really good,as some one who has just recently got into modifying CV's the information that comes with them has really helped me and boost my confidence to the point where i've even been able to make use of the ABC Shuttle feature.

Just found this thread, I've set up my layout with DCC Concepts Zen Black Shuttle units and it's been working perfectly.

Just got them painted up with some Hycote gloss black for the bufferbeam and running plates, and Tamiya Maroon for the main bodies(it is actually darker than it looks in the photos). Still some bits left to add on; handrails, nameplates, coupling pieces made from some bent wire and I want to touch up the paint in some areas. for a comparison in size I decided to place them next to my new Fairlie loco.

First Post here....
I've just started a new layout and trying to get it finished for our clubs exhibition next March. it's a small end-to-end layout that can run automatically using DCC Concepts ABC modules and Zen Black Decoders, I've just got some final postioning to do next week then start glueing down the cork.

I've started building my own freelance steam locomotive which will be a 4-6-4 tender and will have the appropriate name of "Titan", although unrealistic for british narrow gauge it probably wouldn't look too out of place for else where in the world.
