    Peco Loco modular lifts are great for my Bachmann crane, and most locos, but need plan B for my storing away railway gun:

      they don't feel detachable, but I am having to make changes anyway - there is an awful seam down the gun so I need to sand fill and spray to fix, so this is trivial by comparison. I do love this forum for all the friendly advice like yours

     I ordered some peco PT-61 what's the longest chain of these e.g to carry a Rapido apt-e at 1200mm

      thanks all yes I have read the manual watched some videos on the PT-61 and have ordered a load now that they are actually available. However as with everything - I am interested on what has actually been done by other members

    I've put my money down for the Rapido Titfield Thunderbolt, and other enthusiast with a similar sense of fun out there?

      not sure about that but if I lived closer to Rapido I'd want to be their graphic designer and here's a Hornby T9 I sketched with real pencils

    Hi AVS1998, I am also modelling Hastings and so I have Pullmans and the usual SR coaches.

    My father moved us to Hastings in 1966 and he went to st Olaves grammar school during WWII so I have that loco on my layout.

    My mission is to build the amazing Hastings station as constructed in 1931 ..

    this is the plan but I am a long way from finishing the scenery, as I am currently finishing up automation & detection.  However I am interested in your layout and your sources for research.

    My wife is eagerly waiting for the SECR D Class to arrive today from @RailsOfSheffield . She was very taken with the original at the NRM.- so what have your spouses and partners got running on your layouts?

    soo I am getting e-mails about the fact that my world of railways plus subscription ends today but I can't renew nor can I see where to renew  rmgold membership. Can anyone help as I am enjoying the benefits, the advice and the friends I have made here. Also the videos are really good well made but authentic

    My GT3 has just arrived from KR models- It's a thing of beauty, did anyone else get one?

      wow that is some seriopus model building. I am waiting for Aberdeen Commonwealth to turn up and have a PDK brass kit on the go but not happy with the compensated chassis as it binds when I had connecting rods..20190717_151457.jpg.62adb9da4e5fc2f45a4c370000ad909c.jpg

      Hey @Spam Can Man I sort of guessed from the name I have the Channel Packet spam can 2 x renumbered schools (my dad went to st Olaves my grandad was head gardener at Harrow) and I have the Warley H class etc etc., 

      I am modelling Hastings inter war, so again no excuse except my love of engineering innovation

    Just got really annoyed by one of the moderators on the Hornby forums - why are they so rude and pedantic when over here it seems like much nicer bunch

      but annoying as I thought I asked a reasonable product related question and tbh their moderators are volunteers, but we work like that and don't have these issues
