Hi Bob.
Don Smith is a really nice bloke even though I have never met him I have lots of photos of his layout and at least ten of his freight cars which his weathering is at a very high standard.
here are a couple of his cars in service at the blast furnace "bag house" the dust from the furnace is recycled and used for road base or mixed with cement. Thanks mate. Nev.
Hi Nev , thought I would catch up and see what you're doing . Excellent work as usual and the weathering on those freight cars is wonderful .
Say hi to Marg , hope you are both well .

Hi guys , I have fitted a loksound V4XL sound decoder to a Heljan O gauge class 37 and will be running on DC , my questions are can I rewire the fan and to which terminals BUT more importantly which terminals do I wire the lights to . I know I should just go DCC but not at the moment .
Any help will be appreciated , cheers Paul

Hi Randall
I am in the process of getting an O gauge Heljan class 37 converted to RC , the Heljan motors are gone and two more efficient motors are going in .
I always imagined having sound as well , i like your idea of using a tablet and bluetooth but am i right that you have given up trying to run the sound in conjuction with the RC and doing away with the bluetooth ?
Cheers

One of the ESU 4XL or the 5 equivalent will cope with the current draw if you still have the two motors fitted .
You will need to remove the Heljan board and hard wire the new one , its not a clik and play scenario .
