  1. The general appendix I have (dated 1947 although has stamps inside dated 1956 which might mean still valid then?) shows that disc code to be "Norwich and Cromer or Wroxham and County School" under Table S "Special Codes of Engine Head Lamps and Discs".
  2. I can't speak for their soldering stations but their temperature controlled (TCS) ones aren't the quality they used to be
  3. Do you do requests for photoshopping? I could do with a Fallen Madonna with the big...
  4. Thanks, that sounds a good idea. I think I'd prefer a case with sides all around though as I don't have a permanent workshop or shelves to keep things on so it needs to be something I can move around and put things on if that makes sense? Something like this I guess but UK supplied? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/File-Storage-Box-Clear-Plastic-Document-Case-Desk-Paper-Organizer-Transparent/283282203139
  5. The first loco kit I built was a DJH J50. It went really well, I painted it with I think halfords black, put transfers on then sprayed it with railmatch varnish. It bloomed terribly. It was so demoralising. I used nitromors on it and it fell apart (I'd used glue to build it). I forget what happened with it after that, I can't find it anywhere so may have thrown it away in disgust. It's a large part of why I walked away from model railways for 20 years, and why I've got a few bits ready to paint but to be honest I'm scared to do it.
  6. £120 for 3 completely incorrect coaches https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LNER-Silver-Jubilee-Coaches-Mint/303911823284 And the box and loco available separately.
  7. My most recent order (January 1st) arrived Friday. All good this time - everything there. A questions related to transfers - now I have some of the larger packs they don't fit in my divided plastic storage case - I think I need a single A5 sized hard box of some kind - what do others use? Thanks
  8. Considering the mess, I'm surprised the BBC don't have this on their news pages (or if they do, it's well hidden).
  9. I've only done one order with Fox in recent years - for a Silver Jubilee set. When it turned up it was missing a section which was in the picture and description on the site. One quick email and it turned up a couple of days later. So very happy with their service.
  10. Ooh I think I have one I got it from my Grandparents who went...
  11. And for those watching in black and white?
  12. Hmm, Wisbech & Upwell coach. Funnily enough I watched it for the first time in about 30 years a couple of weeks ago.
  13. How about cheeseburgers? Asking for a friend. We always buy 1st class when available. Not so much to give the railway more money, but because my wife has delusions of grandeur
  14. Rumour has it that HMS Belfast's guns are aimed at that site. So there's a nautical link
  15. Me! And I was really doing quite well in understanding it. Until the point I realised it was quantum mechanics at which point my brain imploded and the slight rocking motion and dribbling commenced.
  16. Lineside photographers who don't buy a ticket?

    Website hosts

My colleague runs a small business with hosting, building websites etc. I believe most sites he has done uses Wordpress - my limited experience with websites is that Wordpress is quite easy to use, but there are of course other options. https://www.digibulb.co.uk/
  18. As the closest thing we have a head of IT I totally agree with both points, but particularly number 2.
  19. I'm sure the seller is trying to make it clear but what a mess this ad is https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LNER-luggage-coach-cooper-craft-kit-00-gauge-built-ideal-Hornby-railways/124610361905
  20. I've seen it before when I inadvertently tried to buy something from a seller I had had to make a claim from previously - so I assumed they had blocked me as a buyer.
  21. They had me sold with the inclusion of a horny owners manual.
  22. Surely you mean press button B(uy)? Don't know why I'm excited - I don't need any 24s or 25s. I think it's because I like to see models of this quality being produced.
