  1. Hi Ian, I think I would be interested in at least one of these - it reads as though the LNER variant was mechanically identical? thanks, Richad
  2. Thank you :) I have heard South Africa mentioned previously as one of the few sources of tyres.
  3. Give Dart (MJT) a shout - I believe they DO have them but have a manufacturing issue where the shoulder should be 90 degrees but have been made with a slight taper.
  4. I am slowly building up stocks of new old stock electrofrog Peco code 75 streamline points and crossings for fiddle yard use. Like you I also intend to use bullhead for the scenic section. I've gone with electrofrog as they crop up regularly for a good price and whilst are a little more complex to install, *should* be more reliable when used with a reliable point motor/switch. At the moment I am considering the current version of DCC Concepts one (the early batch has some issues which I understand have been resolved).
  5. Ok watched it for longer this time. The first while is them going on about men of their age not going away for too long.
  6. I do like that - not surprised it is in Bath as that was the first area that came to mind seeing it. Is it worth £8k? Nope. £1k maybe for someone who REALLY wants it.
  7. My Dad used to work with a Gordon Bennett. Was it a Pullman coach? I thought they normally had girls' names? What did you sell from it?
  8. Looks like they use a web form to send them an email. There is domain.admin@trainline.com but that's more for reporting domain issues but there might be someone at the other end who can pass it on.
  9. Carrs 179 works well for me. I predominantly use paste with my RSU but I do also use it for the purposes you are looking for with a normal iron. Available from Phoenix who I believe own the brand, and Hobby Holidays. Probably others as well.

  11. There's a bathroom on the right? Great song.
  12. Wow. I really hope you don't end up doing a prototype I want.
  13. Different reasons but still not nice to read. Don't forget the mess at the East Lancs last year as well if we are including allegations of harassment etc.
  14. Hi Mike, I agree those brackets are most likely for shunting poles. It's the electric lamps that I'm hoping to persuade Modelu to produce 🙂 The skirted one in my photos is a fake - sold from new to industrial use. Mangapps now own the real 11103 so I wonder what will happen to this one. I actually rewired this loco about 25 years ago and rumour has it it still works!
  15. Sorry, i wasn't clear - I was referring specifically about Fenchurch St Station ownership at grouping, seems odd that the London terminus of the former LTSR line being owned by someone else when grouping was planned. It's the ownership of the line I was referring to with regard to Midland ownership over the Great Eastern. I think it was the Monopoly game board that helped me "click" at ownership.
  16. It's an odd case, definitely. I never realised until relatively recently that Fenchucrch St Station was owned by the LNER, not the LMS at grouping. I assume the Midland ended up with the LTSR for competition reasons - the GER built their own line to Southend, no need for another one. Wikipedia has information on the LTSR being a joint operation between the London & Blackwall Railway, and the Eastern Counties Railway - the latter begin a later consituent of the GER so there was an early link.
  17. Indeed, that is not good news. Presumably (and understandably) the 153 purchases and the extension/bridge works are funded differently.
  18. Just had a look and I don't have any.
  19. Thanks Chris - I can't help with dimensions (yet) but there's two types by the looks of things. I wonder if the rounded ones are the same as on 08s?
